Winfield Handicap League

Post by smitty »

We are starting a handicap league in Winfield.

Start time-1:00

Location- Pecan Grove

Cost- $5.00 (1 to the Ace fund and 1 to the general fund)

If you haven't established a handicap, you play for $2.00 (1 to the Ace fund and 1 to the general fund) and cannot win any of the payout.

Handicap will be based on 85% your average over the last 5 rounds.

I don't know for sure. I think that we are setting up the canyon course at Daves but I am not sure. I will do some checking and get back to you.

Week 2

Post by smitty »

Week 2 is in the books. We only had 5 people playing on a perfect day.

Name adjusted score (true score)

1) Grant 48 (52) $10.00
2) Smitty 49 (51) $5.00
3) Cliff 54 (64) and Harvey 54 (57)
5) Rich 55 (58)

Hope to see some of you in week #3.

I am going to be in Western Kansas, so I am going to be unable to play. I will get someone to run it, so come on out and play.

Shan will be running league on Saturday. If you are not going to the tick ranch and need something to do be there at 1:00.

If you don't have a handicap yet, you will need to pay $2.00 and set one. $1.00 to the ace fund and $1.00 to the club fund.

2 bucks to set a handicap? Dubya tee ef?

So can ya give me a rundown on how you are figuring the handicaps? I noticed that even you are getting strokes and I haven't quite figured that out yet.

85% of your average from the last 5 rounds. The first time we played I shot over par. I took care of that little problem this weekend.

We have been doing it for 2 weeks now. People who haven't played have been guessing their average. That isn't fair to the people who have played each time.
