..........will actually not be in Olathe, but at a future course at Shawnee Mission Park! We'll be setting up a temporary course to show the Johnson County Park's staff, and their board, that there is a lot of interest in the sport and that people will come to play at their park.
More on this tourney later, but plan on coming up and having a great time at a great future course. There is plenty of shade and picnic areas for us to use. Hey, we might even have some food for you.
More on this tourney later on. Hope to see you up here then. See you all in Herington!

At this point the course at Shawnee Mission Park is still in the planning stages. We haven't even had a dry run event to test a layout. The Big O is still expected to be held at Prairie Center Park in Olathe.
The KCFDC is planning to have a free to play dry run of the proposed layouts the week after the Big O with club members bringing out their baskets to set it up. This has already been communicated to the Shawnee Mission Parks Department. Besides that, the O in Big O stands for Olathe so it needs to be in Olathe if that's going to be the name. What did y'all think the O stood for

Let us know how it turns out. I don't think I've seen the park. How will it do for a disc golf course? Any word on KC's other courses' (Blue Valley) installations?

The Shawnee Mission course is going to be great once it gets in the ground. The park is perfect for it.
Cliff Drive is in and played daily, Monday casual league, $3. Blue Valley has the 9 hole junior course in the ground and playable but the 18 hole monster is still in process. Some baskets are planted others are still in flux. The Blue Valley course will be used for ice-breaker doubles on Friday before this year's Wide Open. If you are anxious to play it that's the day to be there.
So who is Nivek9?

We hope!
Ed told me that he couldn't run it. I asked him to do some checking in KC and see if he could find someone.
