Capital City Classic

Here are the details for the capital city classic
When: Sunday May 8th
Where: Crestview park in Topeka, KS
Time: registration starts at 8:00-9:30
players meeting at 9:45
Tee off at 10:00
Entry fees: Pro open 35.00
Pro masters /Pro women 30.00
Advanced/ am masters 25.00
Intermediate/ am women 20.00
Novice 15.00
$2.00 ace fund ( if not hit ctp )
This should be a great event for everyone, a challenging course, hopefully great weather, and definately a lot of great people. Hope everyone can make it up for the weekend. Dont forget about the tournament at the Tecumseh course just outside of Topeka the day before.

Too bad not to many showed up today, they missed out on some good golf and a ton of money! through sporsorships, we were able to add $600 to the purse.

Looks like you did a great job. Too bad some Jack@$$ had the tourney scheduled for Moms day, or I would have been there.

Crestview Gold must be tough! Emac was the only one close to 54. What was the total distance? Does it use just long tees with existing pins or do the pins move too?

I will tell you what is sad., The fact that I did my best to add events in the eastern part of the state, in hopes of getting more members. We gained 1 person that we didn't have in the past.
That is what I find sad.
I had several people tell me they would join if the events were in the east. Where are they at?

I mean it was "mothers day" in all but still.....19 people thats pretty sad! Hell they have more than 19 show up for league on Wed night!!

And I might be wrong, but not ONE single KDGA member.
Yes smitty you did get some events out here, but what good are they if none of your members are willing to support them???
So your saying "here are your events, now give us our money"???
