Tiger Fricken Woods

Post by smitty »

That dude is amazing!

He made more big shots this weekend and today, then most Pro golfers make their entire career.

He almost added 2 more putts to that today.

Anyone have a "Tiger" moment in Disc Golf?

I have had 3 that I would consider "Tiger" moments.

The first was last year in Wellington. I made a long putt on the last hole that I had to have to force a playoff with Emac.

The second was another putt to force a Playoff with Emac last year at the Shunga Nunga.

The third may have been the most "Tiger" like. It was at the Lewisville Open in Feb. I wasn't playing very well and fighting for last cash. My second to last hole I flat drilled a putt from 45 feet that bounced off the pole and out. Par for the course for the weekend. The dude I was fighting for over last cash dropped in for a 2 and was tied with me. He then parks the last hole, and thinks that he has beat me. I threw an anhyzer with a Meteor and aced the sucker. Cashing and taking some Ace money. It was awesome.

"Tiger" moments???

I didn't see the ace at Lewisville, but I was at the tournament and it had to have been siiiiiiiiiick. Not a pin that normal people would think of as "aceable".

No Tiger Woods moments for me. I have been in the zone before where I haven't missed putts, but those are few and far between. Here is my favorite Tiger clip that I have seen.

About 5 or so years ago at the Dolese doubles here in OKC our second round on saturday was 6/6/6 best score, best shot, worst shot..i played with Doug Maxfield we started on hole 6 which was the last hole of worst shot so when we were finishing our last 5 holes were worst shot..the TD stated before the round that aces would count...so on our last hole(hole 5) in 30+ mph wind..i threw a tomahawk with a kc whippet that hit 30 ft or so in front of the basket then hopped right in for the ace...the other 2 groups on our card took a 5 and a 7...so we gained 4 and 6 strokes respectively..i wouldnt call this a tiger moment tho i refer to it as divine intervention..

Haha, I still remember watching that live. I was in the Dorm at KSU and people were cheering all up and down the halls!

My most Tiger-like moment was at Colorado States last year. I knew I was within 1 stroke of Tank and we were on the third to last hole. It was really windy out that round and my drive went errant and the totally wrong direction off the tee box.

I was freaking out and made a game plan based upon getting no worse than a 4. I fling a PRED forehand it flips in the wind, goes a couple hundred feet and by pure chance just slams the chains and falls by the basket for an easy three.

I stayed even with Tank and that was how close I was to losing it.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

One time at Doo Dah I made a 75 foot upshot to save a six on hole 3. I said, "BOOM" and then remembered that I still got a six.
