That road construction was killer. I never heard anything about an hour detour. Even when I hit it, I was thinking the detour couldn't be that bad. Then I looked on the map and saw that if I kept going east on the detour, I would never make it to Herington in time. That's when I circled back and went west to Sunflower Rd. (where I saw Dracula).

Like a year later, again on the way to the tourney, I'm not even thinking the road could still be out, but it was exactly the same as the year before!

Mike, remember when we saw that creepy church/barn/spook house with the giant black birds by the bell tower? Is that where Dracula was?

That was pretty cool. Actually, I saw Dracula coming back from Herington on Sunflower Rd. I'm driving down through the night with walls of flames on both sides of the road from burning crops. I look back in my mirror and see him stepping out of the flames into the middle of the road. Had to be Dracula, right?

Directions to the course in Herington (only one 'r')

Post by ksuwildcat »

Since you're probably coming from the south, you can go one of two ways.

The long way...........stay on the highway that curves to the east of the city. At the four way stop (Trapp Street), turn left (west). Go to Broadway (past Dairy Queen and at the bottom of the hill) and turn right. Go past the downtown area and you'll eventually come to the city pool. The park is right there.

The shorter way........when the highway south of town curves to the east, keep going straight. This road will take you staight into town. When you're in town, the street will curve to the right, and turns into Trapp Street. Go to Broadway and turn left. See above.

Later, Ed
