I assume this is the same Big Shunga course we played for the MSO back in September? I might have my old map around here somewhere.

I'm planning to hit KC for their C-tier and some R&R. I can perhaps drive over for this and make a weekend of it.

It is the same big shunga as last year. There are a few slight modifications of the course as follows...

Hole 9- The basket has been moved north about 100 ft and is hanging from a branch in the tree.

Hole 17- Moved to the south, or right when standing on the tee from the normal position.

Everything else is the same. Hope to see you there.

Doubles will be flex start sat. night from 4-6pm. I would suggest groups no larger than 6 if you want to get done by dark. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to play in a group of 4. Doubles will be $10 per person and there will be an open and am division. Open gets paid in cash, am in plastic. Hope to see you there

you are not required to have a mini marker but the LS guys will have some available at the tourney, i am sure, if you want to pick one up. it also would be a good idea to get a rule book from them just to familiarize yourself with tourney play for future reference. maybe a small chair for those inevitable delays. caddies and spectators are both welcome as long as they display courtesy.

Thanks Nate! Yes we will have minis and if you don't have one, just come see me (Bren) before the tourney and I'll get you taken care of. Glad you can make it to your first tourney!!

Dave Richardson is probably coming to the tourney. He needs some directions to the park.

I just know how to drive there, I don't know any of the road names.

Someone post directions and I will call and tell him.

The address is 4801 sw shunga drive, topeka kansas. That is where we will be in the morning for check-in. I'll let everyone know how to get to big shunga at the players meeting. See everyone tomorrow.

I want to thank everyone, especially those that came in from out of town, for spending their mothers day playing golf in Topeka! We had some rain the night before, and was windy the first round, but the courses seemed to dry off well and the wind calmed down for the second round. Next year we will avoid all holidays and likely sanction with the pdga to ensure a good turnout for this tournament. Thanks again and I hope to see you next year!
