Woohoo!
Re: 2009 KC Pro/Am Worlds
Congrats to our World's invitees.
I have possibly contemplated going up there to volunteer and help out with things, but the schedule is looking iffy right now. I certainly would like to be there on Saturday to watch the Finals.

Invites were emailed today.
I think they changed the schedule a bit. Ams now play at Waterworks, I don't know if we did before or not.

Nope, we didn't... we had black hoof, prarie center, shawnee mission, , blue valley and wyco.... that was as of the wyco tournament.
Re: 2009 KC Pro/Am Worlds
When do they open the waiting list up?
I know that Dave and Harv probably want to get on it.

There is no official "waiting list." There will just be one day when registration opens up to first come, first serve.

Re: 2009 KC Pro/Am Worlds
Ok, when is that day?

Exactamundo. Players who did not get invited can register starting May 26 (day after Memorial Day), as long as their PDGA dues are paid for 2009.mrsenortyler wrote:May 26th according to the invite cover letter.
You might want to check the schedule again....it's changed. Advanced Men do get to play Water Works.Pironix wrote:mrsenortyler wrote:Invites were emailed today.

I think he was agreeing with the fact that we do now play Water Works.
I mailed out my registration papers today!

In case you haven't heard, a new private course was added to the Open Divisions; Thornfield
There will be a few charity events between now and July, so the ability to play the course is limited.
I am holding one such event in May, the details of the event and the course are at:

I hope some of you will come out and enjoy the day on one of the newest and more challenging courses in KC.

Re: 2009 KC Pro/Am Worlds
I know most Kansans have friends and family to stay with in KC for worlds. But, if you need a hotel room, the Westin Crown Center is the Host Hotel.
Normally, Westin can be pricey, but if you book through hotwire, and choose the 3.5 star in the Crown Center area that has a SPA listed on the amenities, it comes up to be the Westin. I just booked a room for $63/night. That's a GREAT deal!!!
