Little Apple Open Presented by Tallgrass Brewing May, 15th
Re: Little Apple Open Presented by Tallgrass Brewing May, 15th
I haven't been to Manhatten for awhile, so you have to actually have to drive on the dam to get into the park. Last time I was there, you didn't have. I know you said the south entrance is closed, but I will be running short on time and don't want to wander around for a half hour when I can see the park...
God,Family,Discgolf,DenverBroncos,Sooners...Says it all for me.

Yeah it doesn't really take that long to drive over the dam.

Re: Little Apple Open Presented by Tallgrass Brewing May, 15th
Don't sweat going over the dam because it's now the only way into the River Pond Park! Plus Senor is right, it doesn't add but a minute or two to your travel time.
If you really want to save time and are coming from the SW part of the state be sure to do the following.
When you come into Manhattan on K-18, be sure to exit north on Highway K-113 (also known as Seth Child Road). It is a main highway that runs north & south on the west side of town, thus avoiding a bunch of stop lights and commercial traffic near the mall, restaurants, downtown, etc.
If you take Seth Child Road north, stay on it until you come to a tee intersection on the north side of town @ Highway 24. When you come to that Tee intersection, turn RIGHT (east) and go towards Tuttle Creek Reservoir. Your next turn will be left onto Highway K-13 which goes over the dam. After you've crossed the day, your next turn will be a right turn onto River Pond Road. Just follow river pond road until you black see disc golf baskets.
For those of you that are really familiar with the area, DO NOT TAKE "THE BACK WAY"! They are redoing a bridge on the Barnes Road / Dyer Road route that goes over the Big Blue River

I was planning on attending this, work had other plans for me, good luck to everyone! I am currently packing my bags to prepare for the 20 hour drive that I must complete by tuesday to arrive in York, PA.

I used to live off of Casement, so on my way to the park last night I thought I'd be nostalgic and take "the back way." Didn't work out! Good to see you this weekend.PurpleRick wrote:

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who made it out today. Thanks for coming and playing in the rain! I'll have more to say tomorrow. Time for a shower and a nice warm bed.

Nice turn out! Looks like this one will be worth double points next year.
Re: Little Apple Open Presented by Tallgrass Brewing May, 15th
Had a great time in Manhattan as always! Getting to watch Fred shoot that lights out 1017 round made me forget about the rain, until I had to putt that is...
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be close Mike. Check my work. This is a lot harder for me this year. There are so many new names, and I am so far out of the loop.
