Man, those are too sweet... I need to pick up a couple of those... E is now the boys favorite golfer (i thought blood was thicker than water?) and they would dig an auto'ed version of those babies!

Just talked to Rusco. We are going to have players meeting at 8:30a.m. with a 9:00 start for the Revenge on Saturday and DD Open on Sunday. Currently there are 78 players on the registration list. He says we will take 105 people but no more for the Revenge tourney. Get signed up before Saturday morning for this great event. Still room for Sunday but you should get signed up for this event also. Lots of top pros attending these two events this weekend. Looks like great weather for the weekend. See everyone this weekend.

Just curious about what players thought about the Monkey Island OB Islands.Kindy wrote:Just talked to Rusco. I saw many AMS that couldn't reach and were just doomed to take 4's every time they played those 2 holes.
They had no option to lay up.
At least on the 17th at the USDGC you can lay up.
Just curious what others thought.

There has been talk about changing up the amp. hole. Make it more of a straight shot. That will also shorten it up.
I do agree with you on the Monkey hole. It isn't very well designed hole. If you cannot reach it or are left handed you have no options. I think you could extend the fairway to the drop zone. Give people a chance to play for a 3 if they wanted or gun at it and get a putt at a 2 (or a 4).

I batted .500 on the island holes this year which for me was spectacular. The two times that I missed were simply bad pulls that I knew were going to veer right prematurely the moment the disc left my hand.
Some might argue that they're overly punitive, but even as a lefty, I've never had a problem with their design. Having the pin up near the front of the MI hole in the morning was a nice touch.

Yes SNG, we (me, bo, and fluty) did play poker sat night...Til too late I'm afraid. I was so hung over Sunday morning for the DDO, I really didnt even want to be there. I want to apologize now to those I played with if I wasnt very fun to play with, I guess I just had a little to much "fun" the night before.
Since it was my first time to play the "island" holes, I'd have to say I liked them both. The amp. hole is awesome, although a touch goofy. I saw great looking shots be both short and long and saw 2 really poor shots be on and make birdie. The wind swirls so much in that piece of the park its hard to get a good read on it..The M.I. hole would be GREAT if that tree wasnt right in the fairway, and I can see how some couldnt reach the "safe" area. I would also suggest a "safe zone" in front even if its small. I went 3 for 4 on these only missing the 2nd time on M.I. cuz i hadnt listened to the anoucement that it had moved and I tried to just get it over the wall again. Played them -2
