07 OZ Tour
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
3 of those have been PDGA/KDGA in the past. GB, Ransom, and a PDGA event in Winfield.
I don't know why PDGA sanctioning would turn people away?
They are all C tier events, that you don't have to be a PDGA member to play.
Frizzz explain to me why it would turn people away. I am not asking in a Prick voice? I really want to know.

Do you think the founders[of the KDGA]wanted this to turn into the PDGA?They wanted you to have fun,not generate revenue.Keeping costs down IS important to increasing attendance.

Are you delusional, Friz? Don't answer that.
The PDGA events (other than the friz) drew the biggest attendance last year.
There are a number of benefits the title PDGA brings to an event....
A payout you can count on.
Good competition.
A fair tournament. Players know the rules and aren't allowed to make them up as they go. This kind of golf is for casual rounds.
The PDGA is trying to bring legitmacy to the sport and is doing a good job. They should be supported.

The KDGA will lose attendance at tournaments and popularity if events are not PDGA sanctioned. I don't agree with the high fees associated with the PDGA but realize the it is a very important aspect for the majority of tournament players. How many disc golfers will attend a non-sanctioned event before they attend a sanctioned event within 100 miles? I know the sanctioned event will draw more disc golfers, especially from further distances.

That is not a half bad idea if you ask me. Actually on second thought I like it a lot.Friz-Rocker wrote:Give me one good reason why every PDGA event on the Oz tour can`t cover the 5 dollar penalty imposed on non-PDGA members? We could at least have a KDGA budget to cover for KDGA members.

Yea but if you do that Someone will get on here and blast the "inner circle" for using there money to travel around and.....smitty wrote:Rusco is right on the money. The $5.00 isn't added on to the price of the tourney. It is a discount for those members who pay their PDGA dues.
I think the KDGA could pay PDGA sanctioning if we raised the KDGA fees to $95.00 for open players and $70.00 for all Ams.
