Gonna half to miss this one. Have a funeral. Long time friend of mine and of the family. Firefighter who lived in Wahington State. Was killed in a mountain climbing accident in Alaska, Mt. Rainier. They had a funeral for him in Washington last week, but the one most of the family is going to is in Denver, where he was from, on Sunday morning.

I couldn't believe the funeral is this late. Heard about this the Friday night before Pratt! That's just how it goes. Would rather just have a moment of silence for him at the tournament. He would have loved that! But his family and mine would not, so have to go.

Will miss seeing most, if not all of you! :)

What exactly does the "MEDIA & NEW PLAYER EVENTS" consist of?
This is really nothing important to the tournament player. Basically, if we have any interested media, that is when we will do demonstrations, etc. Also, for anyone that has never played the game or is a very new player, we will have demonstrations if we have enough interest.
Can I PM you my info and be considered pre-registered..?
Go ahead and PM or e-mail me your info (pres@aircapdiscgolf.com) and I'll put you on the list but paid registrations will get first rights if the tournament were to fill up, etc. Since you'll be in town, come by Friday evening between 6pm and 8:30pm and get paid up so your spot will be held just in case. I doubt that we'll reach our 144 player maximum but it would sure be nice.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Sounds like an adventurous guy.
But Mt. Raineier's in WA. Was it Mt. Denali in AK?

Um, yes, Denali. He was trying the West side, which is a more difficult route. They don't really know what happened. He was climbing with one other person and both of them were killed, falling 2000 feet.

River went all the way back down into the banks today!

3 days in a row we have dodged the rain. Let's hope for one more, cause it looks like rain tomorrow.

Thing are looking good for this weekend!

Courses are great right now.

City fixed a couple baskets at Oak. Mowing touchups have been made at both parks. Got woodchips everywhere. Let's just hope it doesn't rain buckets tonight.

New maps and tee signs in progress. Tees have been freshly painted with red and blue numbers. Red and blue flags are next to the back of the tees. They are a little too close at Oak, I didn't want them to get mowed. If they bother you, just move them a foot farther away from the pad.

We only got a couple of buckets of water. Upriver got more though.

As of right now, all holes are playable, but if it comes up any more, we'll use a temp for hole 11 at Oak and a couple of different tees for holes 12 long and 13 long.

This weekend should be dry. Other some extra water along the bank at Oak, the courses are looking excellent! See you tomorrow.
