I'm not sure of what the precise cutoff will be, other than it will be a multiple of four. In a large division it will likely be less than half. In a smaller one probably more than half. Super small divisions will go straight to the finals.

They can't get more than 72 onto each course, and I doubt they want separate pools in the semifinals, so I'd say 72 will be the cutoff in advanced. There are 253 entered.

Last year in Tulsa:

Advanced: 245 entered / 72 made semis
Adanced Women: 26 entered / 20
Masters: 135 entered / 52
Women's Masters: 11 entered / 8
Grandmasters: 49 entered / 20
Senior Grandmasters: 11 entered / 8
Under 19 boys: 20 entered / 16
Under 16 boys: 28 entered / 20

2005 in Arizona:

http://pdga.org/tournament/tournament_r ... urnID=4646

Advanced: 158 entered / 72 made semis
Adanced Women: 24 entered / 12
Masters: 69 entered / 32
Grandmasters: 41 entered / 20

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

No finals for me :( I was pretty disappointed in my play but had a good time. Greg Schwartz won Advanced and was rocking DD gear all week! I stayed at his house and enjoyed his home brewed beer! What a great guy! There were quite a few people there wearing DD stuff so that was neat to see.

Time to get out and practice! The Glass isn't very far away!
