I think the Peter is an overlooked course in Emporia. I think I rank it second best of the Emporia courses.

I also think it can sneak up and bite you if you are not careful. Many chances for OB on birdie holes. That would be my guess as to what happen to you last year Ron. That and the fact that you didn't throw in every putt from 50 feet and in.

What is the best hole at the Peter? I like the way 17 looks and plays. 4 is by far the best hole on the course. It takes 2 really good shots to get a three. Hole 5 may have the highest scoring spread.

It is a work in progress that will for sure get better in time.

it was probably at least a 20 hole course and maybe 21. if i recall last years was also quite cool and windy. more like saturday's round than sunday's.

Yah, Peter Pan is my favorite course to play in town because it has a nice variety of shots and is very quick to play.

In April for the Monkey Island Open it was a 21 hole layout so that is why the scores are so different.

I would love to use Peter Pan Park for the Glass Blown Open but it is just so nice and convenient to have everyone in the same place for the GBO. I guess it is something that we could look in to.

Peter Pan is probably my favorite of all the courses I have played in Kansas. It's got it all, short and technical, bombs, hyzers, water...
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

another great weekend thanks to Jeremy. 2 b-tiers, friends, pros from all over, good vibes and good golfing. I was having such a great time, the weather didnt bother me at all. Got to play golf with super-pimps such as;
smitty, converse, newell, hickman, DRB, leiviska, blaze, olsen and nikko. it was unreal. left knee broke down with 9 to go on sunday. lost a few strokes cause of it, thought I was gonna have to quit, glad i didint. Jeremy gets best TD/Host of 08. thanks for hooking us up with a warm place to sleep, some ROCS and delicious toast in the morning. If anyone runs into Chris Tyler, give him a hug or handshake. The Notorious SNG took care of the KDGA fees and whiskey fees for the weekend.

:idea: PPP will be needed when the GBO gets too big for just Jones E&W...

If GBO ever went NT then you could use Peter Pan and play one round per day. Maybe Friday Saturday Sunday, or Thurs, Fri, Sat. You could still run an A tier on the same weekend for ams.

the talk has been to go three days with two rounds Fri and sat and just one on Sunday with tee times. This would be on the "gold" course. obviously this is just talk and not in the plans.
