I don't care either way on that. An extra $300 for a tourney ace would be sweet. Could take $150 out of each ace fund and not even make a dent in them. Depends on what Mace and Phil think.smitty wrote:Are you going to have your Ace fund up for grab to CKF members?

Re: 2010 KDGA Rolling Ace Fund
Shunga had a throw off, so I know no ace was hit there. Not sure what amount rolled over.
Re: 2010 KDGA Rolling Ace Fund
Just a thought for next year... If no aces are hit, have the entire $5 per person carry over to the next tournament. The ace fund would grow a lot faster and could end up being huge at times. It could get to $1,000 after just a few tournaments. I could easily see it reaching $2,000. That would definitely be a motivating factor when people are considering attending a tournament. Right now it's rarely a factor and I've never used it myself when considering a tourney. If $2,000 is on the line at Ransom/Russell I just might have to make it for the first time. Please consider it, as it's another way to increase tournament attendance and for everyone to have more fun.
Re: 2010 KDGA Rolling Ace Fund
Sounds like a good idea Iqbal.
I don't know how well it would be excepted. Some places like Wichita put up their club ace fund and want some kick back (which I understand), some places GBO for example have huge fields that aren't all Kansans and KDGA members. It would be hard to justify keeping the entire fund and not paying out the entire fund if a nonmember hit.
Just don't see it working out and being implemented.

Re: 2010 KDGA Rolling Ace Fund
It is interesting thought for sure! But how/
I Played in a tournament in Oklahoma where they had an insurance claim and there was a temp hole on the course that had to be at least 315ft wide open, You had to present your name and disc your throwing to a set camera and everybody in the tourney got a shot at 5,000. It did effect the turn out for sure, I went down there just in case I was lucky!!! this was along with regular ace fund and Pot. Insurance company won, but it was fun.
Maybe a club or individual could look into something like that! PIMP Status and Big Cash chance! One hell of a good time! lol

Re: 2010 KDGA Rolling Ace Fund
I agree with Smitty. It sounds like a good idea, but impossible to make happen. Some tourneys don't do $5 ace funds. And it would only take one or two wanting to do a throw off for other tournaments to think it not fair not to do the same. New ideas are good though. There's more people playing than ever, but we need new stuff to keep it interesting.

get a car dealer to sponsor a hole. Ace=win a car Car dealer sells a car if it's hit. http://www.hiousa.com/toyota-lexus.html
