2008 tourney info
Hey all, I don't see a thread for the 6th GBO, but I do see artwork for it in this thread, so I'll assume I'm in the right place.
Any info on where/how to pre-register?
There will be a strong IA presence at your event this year, since we don't have Lamoni this spring. No hard feelings here, I'm totally stoked about playing new courses, and playing with some players I don't usually get to play with.
I'll be coming down with fellow lefty Greenleaf, a few of you might know him, as he's a KS native. Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to this event. Any links or documents enabling pre-registration would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and see you all next month.
Oh yeah, what are the courses like?

Re: 2008 tourney info
we will play both courses in Jones Park. West scores easier.... a pro could go on a tear in shoot in the lower 40's. I think E-mac shot a 42 last year. Sunday round on the West will play 3-4 strokes tougher with a fantastic hole 16-18 finish that will test your skill with OB's and length. East side in general plays 4 or 5 strokes tougher than the West. Longer course with more OB. Even or a few down is a solid pro tourney score on the East. The tall grass and cedars are famous, or infamous, whichever you prefer. Both courses will be changed Saturday night. We will play 71 or 2 different pin locations for the four rounds. Three small ponds in the park that both courses play along with water in play on roughly ten holes. Course lengths are roughly 6500 for the West and 7500 for the East. Not much for elevation; nothing drastic anyway. You might talk to Chris about the west course; it has not changed much since he left. East is completely different. More details will be up in the near future i am sure.Iowalefty wrote:
