Some people are much better then their rating. I agree, you don't need to move up if you win a tourney.

I do think you should move up when you know that you are going to cash most of the time. If you are always in the top of your division, then it is time to move up for sure.

If you guys are gonna give Josh hell over playing Rec, you Salina boys better be giving Andy ALOT of crap for playing Intermediate for this tournament.. Andy's an advanced player from anything I've seen out of him...

I don't think there were any Salina people giving Josh hell.

Andy is in the right place for this tournament. The guy has a great short game, but feels he does not have the distance to compete in advanced. I play a couple rounds a week with him and he sounds like he is wanting to start making the transition to advanced this year.

Great site and yes, it is very helpful. I think the course will look slightly different without leaves on the trees, but it does give you a great idea what you are up against.

Wyco is a great course. Beautiful place with some classic holes. You need to throw long and low drives to get the birdies. This course is mostly about getting pars though. For that, you need a good upshot on a lot of holes. Though the course is long, it is pretty straightforward when not roped off OB. Keep your shots low and you will stay out of the trees.

Sorry, wasn't intending for it to come off as Salina guys giving Josh hell over it...

I'm just saying I know I've been stomped by Andy several times at tournaments where we were both playing intermediate, just seems pretty similar to the arguement being made against Josh..

I signed up to play intermediate to see how it goes. I don't know the course either, I got to play the first 8 this weekend but pictures only do so much for the rest of it.
