Really? I'd been working on a team with Randy Brown & Austin. Guess I'm gonna have to start over.
I wouldn't yet! I think we can still change his mind.

The way the chart reads the only restrictions for MPM is being 40+ during calendar year and having a rating of 935+.

WOO-Hoo! Thanks Smitty. Was still depressed about my last 3 tournies but now I'm hiking up my britches cuz I'm still in the seventies.
What happened to Runruh? #2 in KS?? Nice frolfin, Ronaldo. 'Course if McCabe is back then I guess we all move down one.

Anyway, Kingpin, LeSmitty, polish your mantles for the second place prize cuz the Newton boys got a top secret weapon with his eye on gold. (Randy Brown, you ever thought of moving to Newton? I'll start scouting some apartments, k?)

Here we go everyone here are the details that you need to know for the Team Championship.

August 13-14
Camp Hawk Newton Kansas
Check in at 8:30a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. start. (I know this is early but it will likely be hot.)

One division for all teams. (In the future we will look at having regional teams but in the first year it will be one division)

Team consist of the following: (Ratings that are on the PDGA currently will be used for this event. If someone does not have a rating I will make a ruling on where they are eligible to play.

Open: 975 + Rated Player
Advanced: 935+ Rated Player
Master: Player that is 40+ years old
Intermediate: Below 935
Flex spot: Grandmaster, Women, Junior

This will be a team trophy only tourney with a players pack for everyone. The cost is $225 per team (works out to $45 per player)

Right now I can tell you that the players pack will include dinner on Saturday night and free camping at Camp Hawk along with a tournament shirt with much more to be added. Much more to come in the way of updates. Looking to have fun with this years event so get some teams together and come out to the hawk.

I would also like to have team captains collect the money and bring it all together. Please also get shirt sizes for each of your players.

To clarify for those that aren't going to read all four pages of this thread, Kindy is not putting a town or region restriction on teams. The original idea was to have teams based on town/region in one division and "open" or unrestricted teams in another. I think the hope is that the spirit of the event is for bragging rights between cities or regions but, for this first year, he is not going to be so strict. This should allow cities/regions that can fill 3 or 4 spots but not 5 to recruit outside players to fill a team.

This should be a pretty righteous party. Post your teams, post your partial teams, start making deals and recruiting aces. I'm thinking uniforms would not be out of line and full on costumes a strong possibility.

Nelson is correct with the clarification on the Advanced division. It will be 935+ up to 975.

Please get your teams put together and start to post so I have an idea who will be at this event. I know that everyone has an opinion about how we should do this but it will be a form of match play.

I was going to say: "I don't qualify to play advanced".
