These holes/formats are subject to change...
Hole/Format/OB
I believe all the pins are set to the correct locations.
We generally play Sundays some time around 2pm.

The Lawmen have a different posse member than what is posted, Ned is running in a 1/2 marathon in KC that weekend so the team will be
Dennis Vahsholtz 960
Ron Klein-MO 915
If that is acceptable?

It is certainly acceptable. I'm not sure it is very good news for your competitors. A new sheriff in town for sho!discunlm wrote:The Lawmen have a different posse member than what is posted, Ned is running in a 1/2 marathon in KC that weekend so the team will be

I forgot, did you say any holes were changed? Do all use normal tee pads and pin locations, just skipping 4 holes? Added OB between 10 and 11, I saw that.Swede wrote:These holes/formats are subject to change...

How much rain did you get up there?
Re: 1880 DUBS @ Camp Hawk *OCT 20th*
I think the link answers all your questions except how much rain we got. And I've been out of town so I'll say, not enough. There won't be enough water in the creek to worry about and 23 and 24 will still have large areas that should be pond which aren't.Schoen-hopper wrote:I forgot, did you say any holes were changed? LESS THAN A WEEK!!! Anybody else ridiculously fired up about this??? We've got a couple substitutions which I edited in the above post. Let's all wish Nasty a speedy recovery and Ned a speedy several miles. We lost Nasty and got Rude. That's right, rumor has it T-Rude is about to get his Harvey County debut.

Speed of Play: In Best and Tough shot, a team should take no more than 30 seconds deciding which disc will be played from. And each player will have a maximum of 30 seconds to take each shot.
Best Shot: Players A and B both drive. They decide which of their shots to throw from. Both throw. Repeat.
*If one drive stays close to the tee and the other is further but possibly in trouble or OB, you should mark the short drive by jamming a stick in the ground. This will save time if the further drive is used.
Tough Shot: The same as best shot except that after A and B throw their opponents decide which disc A and B will throw from next. Repeat until 1 putt is made (both players do not have to make the putt)
*You MUST choose the disc that you feel will result in a worse score for your opponents. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of BOTH teams.
*You may not retrieve thrown discs until the group reaches them in the course of play. In other words, don't go closer to the hole than the player or team who throws next. Teams will receive a verbal warning (note this on the team's scorecard) for the first offense. Subsequent offenses will result in 1 stroke penalties.
Switch Shot: Players A and B drive. Player A finishes the hole from B's drive. B finishes the hole from A's drive. The better score is taken.
Switch Bonus: Same as Switch Shot but if each player gets a 2, the score is recorded as a 1.
Alternating Shot: Player A throws first. B throws second from A's lie. Continue alternating shots until the hole is completed.
*Maintain the order through the entire section of Alt Shot holes. If A taps in the putt, B drives the next hole.
*If you start your round in the middle of an Alt Shot section, the opposite player will throw first when you resume that section. So if A threw the first drive of the round on 22, B will drive on hole 20.
Best Shot: Players A and B both drive. They decide which of their shots to throw from. Both throw. Repeat.

Re: 1880 DUBS @ Camp Hawk *OCT 20th*
The link refers to alt21 for the tee and you mention hole 20 later. Is hole 21 from 20's tee to 21's pin? All other tee's standard? The holes with alt tees (4 and 18?) won't be used, so no decision needed there?
The last part of this is a little confusing. 6 holes are played alt: 8,9,10,21,22,23. Say you start on hole 10 and player A drives first (does the team get to decide if A or B will start on the first hole?). On hole 21, if their score on 10 was even, player A will drive first again, and so on... You are saying that when the team gets to hole 8, the results for hole 23 will not matter and player B will drive first? I don't see why that is necessary, but thought you could confirm.Swede wrote: Alternating Shot: Player A throws first. B throws second from A's lie. Wanting to get a practice round, but thought it'd be on the muddy side Sunday. Maybe Thursday, but I'll have to miss league.

DAMNNNNNN. Hope your gentle with us first timers???????????
Re: 1880 DUBS @ Camp Hawk *OCT 20th*
There are two 3-hole sections of Alt shot (holes 8-10 and holes 20-22). When you get to hole 8, you pick who drives and you alternate shots until you finish hole 10. When you get to hole 20, you can again pick who starts and you alternate shots until you finish 22.Swede wrote:Alternating Shot: Player A throws first. B throws second from A's lie. The exception is for teams starting in the middle of a 3-hole section. They play everything the same way except that if B drove first to start the round (say on hole 22), A will drive first when they get back to that 3-hole section (hole 20).
You never have to remember who putted last when you are starting a new section of Alt shot holes.

The only thing I didn't get was that for each set of 3 holes the team again could pick who drives first on the first hole of the set.

Re: 1880 DUBS @ Camp Hawk *OCT 20th*
Played a practice round Sunday with wig and BT and left my orange 11x champ teebird with a distinctive handeye stamp on hole 2. It was short of the opening to the basket and on the left side of the fairway, possible in the rough maybe 15-20 ft. Should have "Wyatt" on the back. Reward for its safe return or any leads to whomever may have snagged it. Went back at 9 am today and it wasn't there
And boom goes the dynamite...
