07 OZ Tour

Post by smitty »

The OZ Tour is going to run a little different next year.

We are going to have 15 events, 3 from each region. The events will count for double points. These events will have a weekend of their own.

Region 1
Norton, Hays, Ransom

Region2
Emporia, Topeka, Lawrence

Region 3
Salina, Herington, Beloit

Region 4
Winfield, Wichita, McPherson

Region 5
Pratt, Colwich, Hutch

The rest of the events will be on a first to ask basis. We will allow no more then 1 event in a region on any given day. With the permission and cooperation if the TD's, two events could take place on the same day. For Example Hays could run and Oz Tour event the same day as Pamona.

I only have a few more details to figure out, and I will post the dates of the 15 "super tour" events.

The tour will start in Feb/March.

As for running an event, if you sign-up for the KDGA, you would be able to host a KDGA event.

Send me a PM if you have any questions.

I think Mace may do it. He was talking about it earlier this year.

Thanks Doc-

This is the weekend that Kev thought might be the best for him. I will try and let him know, and we will adjust it.

These are just the super tour events. The others will be on there. Not 100% sure which ones will be on there...

Good work, Smitty!

Those big events look like they are spaced apart very well.

I think October and November are great months for tournaments. I hope we can fill in a few during that time.

I am trying to work with the Ellis/Hays crew. I think that Ransom and Ellis would make a good weekend. If not, we will hit DC again. Pretty fun course to just leave off the tour.

Plus I have a buddy from TX, that works in the area sometimes. Last report was that the course isn't being taken care of at all. Tees have been removed, baskets have been messed with. It would not be a good deal to show-up, and have the course in no shape to play.

I will see what I can do.

I agree Mike. The Round-up will be on there someplace. Ryan has some interest in doing Pamona again. Both months will probably be full with events.

I told everyone at work already that I have dibs to go to THE ROCK
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

It`s okay to have some PDGA events here, but you guys are getting carried away and it will likely turn away more discgolfers in the end.
Winfield???
Wellington???
Pratt???
GreatBend???
Ransome???

KDGA not PDGA
When you have to choose between your woman and discgolf, don`t be stupid-choose the discgolf.
