Hey! everyone in KS. We would like to invite you out to the high plains of Colorado to play in our HPC "A" tier event that is a USDGC qualifier. Our host hotels are great and we will be posting on the Mile High website this week with more details. On the Ams side this event fills up and we hope to do that for the pro side this year as well. our sponsors are looking great and Saturday night will feature a flymart, players party, putting contest and poker tournament. We will be using the permanent Optimist course and the infamous Pessimist (temporary) course. Both courses are within 2 miles of the host hotels. We are already getting sign ups from all over for this and we hope you will be here too.

Again this year the Comfort Inn (970-867-6700) and the Rodeway Inn (970-867-9481) will be the host hotels for the event. When you reserve your rooms (and I suggest doing so asap) mention that you are with MILE HIGH DISC GOLF for the tournament rates. If there are problems with reservations let me know and I will follow up on it.

See you there

Just an update as we generally get a surge of players registering after the Grateful Disc Festival and it looks to be the trend for this year also. So don't be a PROcrastinator and get left out of this fun event.

See who will be there.

The HPC is starting to fill up now and so are the host hotels. If you planning to come out I would suggest registering very soon.
www.milehighdiscgolf.org

If you haven't reserved a room for High Plains Challenge You need to do it ASAP because the hotel is reporting that there are only 19 rooms available at the Rodeway Inn and about 25 available at the Comfort Inn.

Mention: Mile High Disc Golf for tournament rates

Host Hotels:

Comfort Inn (1 mile from courses), (970) 867-6700, $89.95
Rodeway Inn (1 mile from courses), (970) 867-9481, $60.00

See you in FM

HPC hotel updates

The hotels in the Fort Morgan area are getting full (Rodeway Inn is full) The Comfort Inn has some (10) of the executive King rooms left $109-$139.

The Brush Microtel (10 miles east of the course) has a few rooms still available some for about $50- $60.

The FM Super 8 has some some rooms available and is just down the street from the course. Thursday before the event some more rooms may become available.
Here is a website with contact info for all the local hotels.

Because I don't know how many of you need rooms I can't block rooms so if you don't have a room already you need to get busy finding a room.

I am out in FM today and tomorrow, work weekend and things are looking good. the grass is high right now but the parks dept. hasn't started cutting yet. On the Optimist course hole # 4 will have a new placement as well as # 14.

The pessimist course Tee # 1 was rebuild today. and we scouted out new holes for 4,5 and 6. We will be doing some more tee work tomorrow and the next 2 Saturdays.

We now have some more rooms available at both the Comfort Inn and the Rodeway Inn (see the HPC page for Ph #s). You must tell them you are with the Mile High Disc Golf Group for the tournament rooms. There are about 10 rooms in each hotel but if you don't mention MHDGC they will tell you they are full.

Misquitoes are doing well out here on the plains

Just an update for everyone. Looks like our Ams pool will fill up soon only 18 spots left. The Pro pool is growing and quite a few pros have contacted me and said they are coming so it should be a good showing and a fun time. Where are the Kansas women DGrs? 127 players signed up as of this afternoon.

We still have some rooms blocked at the Rodeway Inn and the Comfort Inn as of this afternoon. They can hold them until June 8th or until they are taken.

Hope you decide to make the drive.
