Take another peek, this time at a wide open hole. It is hole 18 and throws waaaaaay downhill. It is also going to be the long distance contest hole. Could it be possible for sombody to throw a 700 footer here?

Looks pretty sick Mike. Treasure Cove is looking better and better for late September.

Hey Smitty, we would love to have you come up.
FYI...
Here is the Main Team that is putting this tournament together....

Mike Wulbecker: Lead Tournament Director
Plaz: Assistant TD Mt Crescent Course
Kim Van Brunt: Assistant TD
Chris Oien: Lead Course Designer Mt. Crescent Temp Course
Jim Lamar: Assistant Course Designer / Graphics Creator

Our Goal: Put on a "B" tier tournament that feels like an "A" tier.

If you have that Saturday free....think about this one for sure!

If I have nothing going on, I may try to round up some people and make the trip.

Only problem I see is we have 2 B-tiers in Kansas just before it.

Sept. 8-9 Hays -- I will play no matter what.
Sept. 22-23 Topeka

One Day-er

That's what I like about 1 day tournaments: same payout, ($1500 added cash to pro purse) but you are home on Sunday. :)

Many thanks to Chris Oien, Kim Van Brunt, Jim Lamar and Plaz for the many hours of preparation so far in designing the temp course at Mr. Crescent. Here is a sneak peek of the lay of the land. Where you see the double distances listed, they signify blue tees. If you are in to virgin disc golf, you will find no finer experience.

Ps. The snow is gone !

Needless to say, there will be no snow on the course at the time of the tournament. :D

Hole 10 at Mt. Crescent

Here's a look at hole 10 at Mt. Crescent. You throw from peak to peak over a valley. All the holes at Mt. Crescent have never been thrown. You won't believe your eyes.

It was pretty good tournament, the guys putting it on did a great job!

The courses were really cool, I will go play Treasure Cove when I am in Omaha in the future.

I was a little disappointed that the payout for the amateurs was the same as the player's packs...tishirts, umbrellas, towels and hats. I'd never been to a tournament that didn't have discs for amateur prizes...

Run for the Roses or "Ring of Fire" was pretty fun, and the CTP and long drive prizes were more than awesome!

I agree, the courses were crazy cool! but the 65 dollars that I won only got me a shirt, a hat and a disc that was avaliable to me in the players pack... a few discs to take home would have been way better. I would consider playing this tourny again but i would make sure i knew what i was playing for first.

Special Thanks to the Tournament Director Team who attempted to tame Mt. Crescent. Great job Team. And for all the "helping hands" who made this experiment possible.

Ps. The top listed favorite hole from the surveys:
