Benefit Glo-Tourney in Parsons

We're going to be holding a Glo-Tourney on Aug. 18th at The Arboretum course here in Parsons. Sign in will start at 8pm. It will be a Blind Draw Doubles event. $10 bucks per person is the entry fee. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers (plastic). This tourney is to help raise money for a new course in Altamont ('bout 10 miles south of Parsons). All proceeds will go towards helping put in a 9 Hole course at Altamont Lake. If you have nothing else goin' on, come on down and help us get another course built here in Kansas. Hope to see some of ya there.

All in all this turned out to be a nice little event. Weather was great and we had 10 teams for the glo-tourney. Also raised a little bit of money to help put in another course here in Southeast Kansas.

Here are the top 3:

1st Place: Travis Stand & Doug Hosfelt ( 48 )
2nd Place: Leo D. & Paul Martin ( 50 )
3rd Place: Robbie Almond & Mike Holsinger ( 51 )

I'll make sure to keep everyone posted on the progress of this new course. The guys that are from Altamont working on this may need some sage advice from disc golfing veterans. I'm sure they would appreciate any help they can get on course design, what kind of baskets to get, etc. I might push them in this direction. Everyone on here always seems willing to help out.
