Oz Tour 2007

Post by Schoen-hopper »

I didn't think we'd have near as many event as we did last year, but we are almost there again!

I'll count it up after the season, but I'd bet we've had double the total member attendance this year. It's been a lot of fun so far.

Fall is the best time for discin'. What are the chances we can get these events on the schedule? These are all great courses.

Wichita Round-up (2nd or 3rd Sat. in November)
Pomona Lake?
Mulvane?
Newton?
Abeliene?

Rog normally does Wichita. All we need is a date.

I think Mr. DD wants to do Pamona, I have told him to find a date.

Mulvane will be on the schedule soon.

Newton would be nice!

Mace is going to to Abeliene sometime.

I have family to visit near Wichita and would like to plan it around a tourney if possible. Are any of these events gonna be sanctioned? I am contemplating the DD open. Any suggestions? Thanks, Adrien

What can you say for the Glass Blown except...

Kansas' only A tier in history.

That's speaks pretty well for itself. Next weekend should be huge. I'll be there!

Looks like the Round Up is scheduled for Nov. 10th. KDGA finals will be Nov. 11th.

Abeliene and the DDO are on the tour as well.

Is there any interest in an event at Pomona this year? I think the best date might be Nov. 3rd, the day before Abeliene. If so, would anyone be interested in puting this tourney on? If anyone has any ideas, go ahead and post them.

I also heard there might be an event happening in Newton this year. I know we've all been wanting to play this course on the tour again. If anyone knows those who are in charge of this course or any other important info, it might be helpful to post it here or pm it to me.

Played there a few weeks ago with a couple of locals and several holes were in pretty bad shape. Got the impression that whoever used to take care of it wasn't around anymore? Even so, great course!

That's the place. What kind of work needs done? Could a couple of chainsaws and a few guys get it done?

Someone has to have keys to the baskets (for alternating placements). Can anyone find out more about this?

Jeremy Kindy is the only KDGAer from Newton, I believe. I could be wrong. Last time I talked to him about a tourney there, he said something about part of the course being annexed by the city.

As far as Pomona, I believe Rusco was going to try and do it the day after the DDO. He just needs feedback on how many would show. It's a pretty dope course!!

We are still working with the course. I have had conversations with Rusco about something. Patience my friends. We have been able to mow the outlying areas and just recently moved 20 of the 24 baskets to the alternate locations. 4 of the holes do not have alternates.

I was thinking about doing another tourney in lawrence this fall. If Jeremy doesn't have time to do Pomona, I'd be glad to do that one as well. Let me know a good date to do the Lawrence tourney.
