Dynamic Discs Camp Hawk Challenge (Newton)

Post by smitty »

I talked with the C.E.O. of Dynamic Discs today on the phone. Looks like team Dynamic will be running an event in Newton the day after the DD Open in Emporia.

More details to come.

That is great news. Newton is one of my favorite courses.

Does anyone have a contact with the course caretaker? Last time I played there, the holes on private land (7 thru 13) had grass that was waist deep.

Not sure how long ago that was. We have mowed fairway areas on the back holes. There will be some high grass but it will be in the rough. We have mowed the course in the last few weeks. We will try to mow fairways again on the back holes.

Will you use all the holes? Last time I played, there were 24 holes. Just curious what format you will be using.

Not exactly sure on the format for the tourney. The first round will for sure be all 24 holes. Depending on how long the first round takes we will decide on whether to play all 24 holes again for the 2nd round or just play 18.

If anyone has another other questions let me know.

See you Saturday! This is an awesome course!

I'm looking forward to it! Rusco if you want to bring that Innova Hammer for me to look at that'd be great.

Looks like the weather should be real nice here in Newton. There should be about 20 mph wind. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
