We are in the process of getting a couple alternate hole placements for the open at lake shawnee permanent course on hole 16 (tunnel shot straight into forest with drop off to water on right), and 18 (longer and further out on peninsula). We have, and will play the alternate on 18 regardless but need to get approval to cut some trees for the one on 16.

We are also in the process of getting the alternate course approved for that day and if we do, will be playing that as well. I will know more by the end of the week as I am meeting with the county on Thurs.

Sign up for the tournament will be at the parking lot of the lake shawnee course.

We will be setting up an alternate course for the tourney, but won't be the same one that we have used the past two years. It will be one that was used for the shunga 5+ years ago when Bruce was running it. Definately a quality course and should be a lot of fun. There are some trees that have gotten bigger since we last used it so it should be interesting. Will post more info as I have it.

Don't forget to get yourself paid up for this tournament in advance and save yourself $5! We will be laying out the alternate course this weekend and I will post on here details concerning the course (hole length, elevation, obs, etc...). We are hoping for another tourney with great attendance at the Lake this year!

All am entrants will recieve no less than the following in their players pack....

- 1 Nalgene Type Polycarbonate Bottle
- $15 merch credit to be used at our stand

I will have an answer for you by the end of the day. We are going to head out this afternoon to layout the course. My only concern with setting up the course the day before would be that there are several basket near the road and they are all portable. If I can find something to lock them to, I will set it up on thur or fri. Right now, I am thinking 80/20 that we will have the baskets in place the day before. At very least there will be flags marking the tees and pins. I will have maps available by friday. Check back this evening and I will have an answer for you.

I do have some questions, but don't have your #'s sorry

1) Are you playing Shawnee or the temp course? I'd really like to check out the temp course tonight if I can.
2) Directions to the temp course?
3) How does flex start work? I can just show up at 6 and still play?
4) Do I need to bring a partner with me or just show up and be matched up with somebody?

We will play the temp course.

If you park in the parking lot at lake shawnee disc golf course... the first tee is located just across the road to the south. You will see it marked with flags. Should be well marked for your to follow.

Flex start means you can show up anytime between 4:30 and 7 with your partner and play. This allows people with unflexible work schedules to still get a chance.

you may be able to get apartner just by showing up, but no telling when people will be there. For sure thing is to byop. You would be more than welcome to play without playing doubles though just to check out the course.

We will be doing registration at the course also and you will still save the five dollars on friday night.
