Was looking for feedback on courses & other recommendations. Didn't get much response, but at this point, this looks to be our itenerary. Going to be a fun week!

Looks like a blast. I hope to make it out and play a bunch of courses around Longmont and Denver now that my sister lives out there.

I have not had a chance to play either of them, but there is a course in Fraser/winter park that is pretty new. It right on hwy 40. Looks very open. Then they say the course at the ymca of the rockies is a nice and tight one. This is coming for people i work with. I have not seen the YMCA course. On a side note Grand Lake has a good brewery and so does estes park.

Thanks. They are actually having a tournament at those two courses near Winter Park next weekend.

I played leadville a couple of times this summer and really enjoyed it.
The locals recommended it over everything else in the immediate area (aspen/snowmass, poncha springs)
they also said pueblo is the best course in the state, but we didnt get to stop to see if they were right.

i found out that buena vista is suppose to be installing a course within the next year.
check out the brewery in BV as well. it is in the new downtown area by the river.

Some former students of mine from Norton played some courses in Colorado this summer (they also played some KDGA tourneys, Ransom/Ellis and Norton and I think are going to play Hays, Tom and Joe). The one they liked the best was called Phantom Falls in Pine Colorado. You can check it out on this discgolfcoursereview.com;

It looks like a lot of fun! I think it's private and you have to contact them before you go, appointment only.

I played Phantom Falls on the last trip. Josh Hull beat the guide. That was a crazy course. Not a flat spot on it. No grass, so the rocky greens played super fast. Awesome course to work on your short game and throwing extreme uphill & downhill shots. Cool thing was the CTP rocks. If you got one, you could move the rocks. Plamen got to move one. About 6 of them were in the basket.

I played Widefield this summer mIke, runs along a creek.. Kinda goes up one side of the creek and then back on the other side... It was pretty good, I happened to run into a local and he was glad to show me the course route.... Its in Colorado Springs

Glad you got to play it. That is a cool idea about the CTP rocks! I wonder if those are reset each year? I would like to play some CO courses, but I think those days might be over. "The Rock" is tough enough!
