No OPEN division this time around. Especially since it is a non-KDGA event and it being my first tournament as TD, I am trying to keep it as simple as possible. I have talked with Brandon Mace about getting involved in helping out with the KDGA event in Hutchinson scheduled in August.
This tournament is meant to provide a more casual setting for less experienced tourney players. I am more interested in attracting local players to the sport and bolstering the spirit of an active disc golf community.
I am not a local, as I live 1.25 hrs away, but I have pre registred form this event. Sounds like fun and is cheap. I don't play a lot of tournaments. Playing in more tournaments that are close to home was a goal of mine for 2012.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Even though my goal is to attract local players to our weekly summer league, I am always more than happy to accept registrants from out of town. I play with the Flint Hills Bag Tag League in Manhattan, KS and I have extended an invitation to fellow league members. Can't wait!
UPDATE! There are now 24 players registered for the tournament. Claim your players pack (custom disc & mini) by registering online at: http://careyparkdiscgolf.webs.com
There's six of us coming up from Wichita. Five of the six started playing last August and are glad for a low-key and lower expense tournament to get our feet wet. It's going to be a Great Time!!
