You're supposed to aim at the baskets, not cars.Image

Well obviously flx hitting something, the disc will take more of the impact than with regular esp, but whether that is enough to not break a window I am not sure. Maybe you could buy some glass at a hardware store to test on?

I suppose since i have a cracked windshield and will be replacing it sometime soon. I could try it before the new glass gets put in. Dont count on the results very soon though.

I've never heard of a disc breaking glass. That's the best place you can hit a car. Usually when your disc hits something that you shouldn't, the disc is going less than half as fast as it is when it leaves your hand.

someone buy this disc and you could throw it at cars and test out the FLX theory .

If you could ever stop stareing at it.

I highly doubt it would hurt a windshield. I was demonstrating the durability of FLX plastic to a curious non golfer this morning. I threw an FLX Challenger as hard as I could on the concrete floor by my feet............it kinda crumpled then straightened out and laid there. Just made a loud SPLAT.....Not a scratch on the disc!!!!!!!!
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#18 at Rosedale - Guy drives and shanks it to the right into Mission Road, Pickup truck coming up the hill gets the disc right in the windshield - BANG - Gotta replace the windshield, totally broken like someone threw a brick at it. The guy that threw it walks away and the guy in the truck pulls in all pissed. Sad part is, he's a disc golfer and understands but the weenie that threw it won't own up (no it wasn't me, I didn't know the guy, was just waiting for the pad).

So, yes, a disc can break a windshield. But I can't say that about a parked car. This truck was heading towards the disc at 40mph. Might have ben perfect conditions difficult to duplicate.

Wow, I could actually see that happening there. I'm sure the driver didn't sed it coming, which might be a good thing.

So it was fairly close to the tee. It was downhill, so the disc wasn't losing much speed. And the truck was coming at the disc. It still surprises me.

Not really, door windows are much stronger, windshields have less density. I've broken a windshield on a Astro van, smashing a bug.

Judo slap!

Plus, on that hole, for it to go into the windshield it had to be severely shanked and very nose down, combined, I'll bet the impact was easily over 90mph. Nose up might have been a different story(skip/deflection), but I'm not seeing that possible as elevated as it is.

I bet it was cracked. I have seen a number of vicous glass hits and nothing has ever come close.

I wonder what the FLX would do to the panels of a car. I have creased two cars (once right above the rear wheel on a Dakota and once on the post between the windsheild and door on an Aerostar van). Both were with KC Pro Innova plastic.

There is hole on the campus course here at KSU, and the tee-pad is about 75 feet infront of some parked cars that are facing you. I have skipped off the winshield loads of times. Makes me nervous to watch, and leaves a goofy looking mark. :D

Hit several windshields before and never broke anything. Normally deflects off the top. I will say that if you hit someone on a motorcycle wearing a helmet... it will break the visor!! Lucky for him, he was wearing a helmet or else he might have been a little more upset... and dead.
