Here's the original disc nazi's.

They've grown from the murky depths of Lake Shawnee to one of the biggest sellers of ebay.

Not weird at all! Talk to anyone around here and ask them how they feel about...Khawk wrote:They're pretty open about it too. Weird.
1. Getting a disc back that they thought was lost for good.
2. Getting a phone call to let them know it was found.
3. Us holding it for them until they can come get it.
4. Getting it back for less than they would pay for a used one online... not to mention the shipping.
5. Not having to buy a new one to replace it.
Bet you won't get too many negatives! In fact, my brothers get phone calls every day in the summer from people who throw something in and don't want to get it themselves. People around here actually take comfort in the fact that if they throw something in at Lake Shawnee, they will see it again. IMO there is a right and wrong way to do this. Mr. One Arm is doing things the wrong way in not finding the owner of the disc. Judging from how they are viewed around here, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything wrong with the way they are doing things.
I'd gladly pay $3 for someone to retrieve a top grade disc out of the drink. Its a lot cheaper than replacing the disc and breaking a new one in.
Chris, if one of us were to bid on your disc and win it, would you buy it back at cost, if say it was under $10? At the expense of giving that guy some money, I'm almost considering putting in a snipe bid on Monday night.

Well actually, I was going to do the same, I thought if I could win the disc and pay for that and the shipping for less than 10 bucks, it would be worth it to me to get it back.scarpfish wrote: Chris, if one of us were to bid on your disc and win it, would you buy it back at cost, if say it was under $10? I'll leave that to you then. You'll get your disc back faster that way.mrsenortyler wrote:I thought if I could win the disc and pay for that and the shipping for less than 10 bucks, it would be worth it to me to get it back.
I just wonder what that guy's reaction would be if he sees his auction winner's name already on the disc.
