Mr. Brooks
It must have been something special to watch. I hear stories from some of the locals in Lincoln, NE around Roper that he and Laron Haris were the only few people to park #21(666 ft. down hill) at Roper West with an air shot!!
Yes. The basket was at the base of the steps which then go up to #15.Schoen-hopper wrote:Is that the 2nd downhiller with the road on the right?

It was in the blue 321' placement. Looking at it now it doesn't seem like that unusual of a shot for a big arm, still flashy though. But in 94 when I had just started playing competitively it was mighty impressive. The crowd sure thought so at the time.

the first sanctioned tourney I played featured Crazy showing off throughout the final 9.Ponca City Okla 1991?John Heaton 3rd Ice man ?2nd . .An incredible display of skill and showmanship.Crazy is and has always been awesome.
By the way, the "hot " disc at that time was the Cobra! I switched to Scorpions later and then the Viper (FEAR NO WIND).Discraft took a while to build a good stable of discs, but no one around at the time argues that the Cyclone was the breakthrough disc of it`s generation.Needless to say, it`s the indian , not the arrow that determines the skill.

Yep! I`ve still got a few factored discs ,Whippet and Viper . Real quick oldshool toys.At that time Vipers held the world distance record. As an overstable ,the DGA was selling (shaved) "factored " discs which were less stable and faster than normal. The factor refered to the amout of disc removed.1`s ,2`s ,and 3`s were available if I remember correctly. We also called it "DGA`d".This goes back to the sets you could purchase .Stingrays in varying stability#`s 1-5 in purple and pro model Sharks #`s 1-3 Orange. DGA`D discs!
