Discraft Plastic

Post by mrsenortyler »

Today I got an XS today with a 13th Octoberfriz stamp, so it's about 6 years old.

The plastic is really grippy, but it doesn't seem to be pro D plastic. But being 6 years old I don't know what kind of plastics Discraft has made. The plastic is slick like Z plastic buy WAY grippier, and not very durable.

Anybody have any ideas?

The X plastic used to be different, with a more powdery, grippy texture. Not slick though.

It doesn't feel like any x-plastic I've seen. This could be it possibly.

I have some X that is very shiny! From a few years back, so maybe the same stuff. It about has to be the X. The original Elite Pro X was grippier. The chaulky plastic was the older D (Cyclones!). That's what I recall.

6 years ago!I`m guessing"x".I think the change from the older plastics had already taken place when the XS came out.I will double check though.By the way,X was pretty slick especially as it aged. Some of the early X was almost as hard as ESP!
