I remember seeing a post about a potential Ace Race at Wheatland in October. I wasn't sure if that got approved or not, but I thought I'd give a local plug for any of you who were really wanting to attend an Ace Race tournament.

Carpool might be the method of choice, but there will be an Ace Race up here in Manhattan on Saturday, October 19 at the newly reconstructed Fairmont Park. The deadline to register is Monday, September 30 since all player's packs need to be ordered in advance. $25 for 2 prototype Ti Ace Race discs, 1 Ti mini Magnet, 2 high-impact plastic drinking glasses, 2 reusable scorecards (full size and bag tag size), a koozie, and a tri-panel Discraft sticker.

Due to lukewarm support by the club, being pressed for time to order the packs and run the event, plus the expense, and the forum going down for a few days which nuked that thread and hurt our chances to promote it, we decided to cancel. We will try again next year.

Road trip to Manhattan sounds fun.

Cold weather giving us the shakes last night during the first round?



64 birdies and 7 turkeys for the whole crew. 45 birds, and all of the gobblers (green boxes) came in the second pass through the course after we were warmed up a bit.
