I just don't get it

I guess I need to explain a couple things. First of all and most important, I’m not some kind of under-cover cop trying to infiltrate the disc golf world and take it down. Not every guy with a short haircut and a professional attitude is a cop. I am in the Air Force. My job is difficult to explain fully because I’m kind of a spook. I am interested in keeping our (yours and my) country safe from people who wish to do us harm. I have been in the service since I graduated high school and have done a lot of great things as well as some not so nice things. I have lost good friends in battle and have taken a few people’s (our enemies) friends from them. I am a patriot and YES I love our country. I’ve been to over 90 other countries in the world and don’t expect anyone to understand, but we live in the greatest country in the world.
I guess the point I’m trying to make is; I do take great offense to people who shun me or try to think that I have any ill will toward them for whatever reason. You don’t need to whisper behind me or hide when I come around. I do what I do so that you may do what you want. I don’t care what activity you are involved in as long as it isn’t harmful to my homeland.
I play disc golf because I was introduced to it by someone who was dear to me and I love the sport. Most of you also love the sport, so that shouldn’t be hard to understand. I like the people I meet and don’t judge them for whatever they do.
You can worry about my intentions and be paranoid when I’m around or you can enjoy the game and have a great time playing beside me. I would much rather you enjoy my company and have a great time.
