I'm new to disc golf and recently went to Cherry St. Park and played 9 holes. I noticed that there were a number of un-numbered baskets there. Is it a 9 or 18 hole course? Was able to figure out the first 9 baskets ( I think), but not sure about the others.
Would appreciate any information.
Thanks

Question about Cherry St. course
Re: Question about Cherry St. course
Cherry street is a 9 hole course. There are alternate baskets on holes 1,2,3,5,6,8,9 which allow 18 holes of play without duplicating all of the holes. Just be extremely careful when playing 5 alternate! The basketball court and the playground could come into play.
Throw some D's on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Question about Cherry St. course
The baskets with a red top are the original 9 holes and the silver baskets are the alternate holes. Good Luck golfing.....

Re: Question about Cherry St. course
Plus there are 9 stones in the ground out there that give you another 18 choices to play.
People normally play from the signs and go to the red tops for the first 9.
Some people then play from the signs to the silver baskets. Most of these are pretty close to the red basket.
-Hole 4 doesn't have a silver basket, but people often play to the silver basket foSr 2 from 4's tee.
-Hole 7 doesn't have a silver basket, but people often play to the silver basket for 9.
-Hole 8 has 2 choices for the silver basket. The short one around the pines or all the way to the bathroom (5's Silver)
As for the Stones that mark the other tees.
Hole 1- Is on the SW corner of the park under the Pine.
Hole 2- Is directly in line with the basket and other tee, just longer. It is about 25 feet farther then the light pole.
Hole 3- Straight north of the sign about 45-50 feet.
Hole 4- You are forced to go under the picnic shelter, it is about 60 feet from shelter.
Hole 5- Longer by about 90 foot.
Hole 6- Longer by about 90 foot.
Hole 7- Just to the north and east of red top basket.
Hole 8- To the south about 70 foot.
Hole 9- Longer and close to the sidewalk. Probably 60 feet short of bathroom.
We need to get people playing from the stones, so they get worn into the ground also.

Thanks guys. That will help next time I get out. Now if this wind will just ease up a little.
Re: Question about Cherry St. course
Bluestreak, universal par is 3 for most all holes. All holes at Cherry are three and all holes at the pecan grove are played as 3.
