We will be supporting the food drive either way. We can sell these discs online, and will be pre-selling them at our ice bowl as well! Hopefully they sell well and we feed a lot of people!
Finished up the design today. I think the course is going to be pretty killer. It has a ton of very cool holes.
Hole 1- Long swooping righty hyzer up a slight hill. The perfect drive will give you a 100 foot upshot down a tunnel.
Hole 2- Low tight right anhzer. The basket is going to be on the end of a small dike. A 3 on this hole will be a good score. There could be a 2, but there will be plenty of 4's and more.
Hole 3- Short straight shot with water on both sides for 3/4 of the fairway. If you make it past the water is should be a 3 at worst. This will be the first of the possible Ace runs on the course.
Hole 4- A short sharp right anhyzer or flick shot. This will be another Ace run that should end in nothing worse then a 3.
Hole 5- This hole is going to have 2 options. Either a low anhzer and try to keep it in the fairway and get a putt or you could go for a big thumber shot. If you go big and catch a limb you are going to be hurting big time.
Hole 6- This will be one of the favorite holes on the course. It is dead nuts straight. I am think it is around 300 feet. Probably 35 feet wide and high.
Hole 7- This is going to be a low snaking shot. The fairway is going to go right, then left, and finally finish right. It may be possible to throw a perfect straight lazer at the pin.
Hole 8- This is going to be a hole that is going to cause some series cussing. It is going to have a very tight straight at it shot and crazy over the top shot. Both of these could result in a 5 or worse or maybe a putt at a 2. It also has a nice trail that could be putter, putter, putter for a 3 if you throw 3 good shots.
Hole 9- I don't know exactly how this hole is going to play out. Right now, the plan is to make it a Blair Witch Poke and Hope hole. It is going to be UGLY I promise you that now.
Hole 10- This hole is a crazy tunnel shot. You are going to have to throw up a small hill and under a leaning tree. The basket is going to be on the end of a steep little hill.
Hole 11- I am pretty excited about this hole. The only real problem is that it shares a basket with hole 7. Because of the path the trails follow, it is the only way to include some of the holes that I wanted to be part of the course for sure. You are going to have to throw 200 feet of the tee tops. The key is to get into position for your upshot. You are going to want to hit right at the start of the snaking fairway so you can find a shot for a 3 or maybe a long (120) 2.
Hole 12- This is going to be a very tight right hyzer. Really the first one on the entire course. You are going to be forced to throw under a downed tree and shoot a small gap. After that your disc better be hyzering hard!
Hole 13- This may just be my favorite hole. You are going to tee out of the tunnel and on top of the dike. If you are to aggressive, you could be wet!
Hole 14- This is a classic dike to dike shot. The good news is the grass is pretty tall on the sides.
Hole 15- This is a cool hole. I want to look at it another time before I decide on the basket location. You are going to be throwing up and over the dike. The basket is either going to be on a hump with a straight drop into the creek or past 3 guarding trees and into a little pocket. I am liking the pocket a little better at this point.
Hole 16- This is the hardest green on the course. There is going to be some big time roll aways on this hole. It is almost evil! It is going to be 3/4 of the way up the dike. I am going to try and use some bricks and wood to level the basket. From the tee it looks like a righty may want to throw a hyzer. This is going to end up at the bottom of the hill every time. Or you may want to throw a flick or low bullet, these are going to end up at the bottom of the dike also. Here is the bad news, the grass is short and the dike is STEEP!
Hole 17- This is going to be a cool hole. Throwing from the top of the dike under some tree branches. If you are not on the island you are thowing a UD up shot or putt. The Island is HUGE!
Hole 18- This is another short island hole that you must be on or you have bunker putt. The bad news is the island is SMALL!
