The prototype is in the ground. The next one will go in easier and be even better. They are about the perfect length for the holes at Cherry. I think if we had them on some longer holes, we may have to butt a couple of them together.

Idea?

How about making a big "horseshoe" shaped fence around a basket. Design it so that it is 20 feet on each side of the basket and only open from the front. Then plant some kind of vine or something that would take over the fence. Kind of like the crap behind hole 9 long. That would make a pretty cool maybe at a pretty low expense.

After playing today and noticing how big of a muddy mess the tee areas are, we should get something done. We have worn all the tees down at least 2 inches on most pads. It is and absolute mess and will be for a week at the shortest.

We should either look at finding some more mats that are a little longer or doing some cements.

Well cement will be harder to do, but I don't think we will find these rubber mats the size we need with out going with something like flypads. I don't know where else we can get the mats bigger, like in a roll?

Cement will obviously last longer. We will just have to wheel barrow around, since we can't get trucks everywhere we need them. How big do you think we need to go? 5'x8"?

If we were to do cement I may be able to get a back hoe to bring in the cement. Thats how we did a couple of the parks where we put in cement.

If we do cement, I have an able back and will be willing to lend it to the occasion. A little hard work never killed anybody. As for the wall, I would like to see something like that on hole 5, but I know it would probably not be that appealing to the eye for regular park goers.

Cement would cost a little over $100/tee. If someone wanted to write up a request, we could probably get some course improvement $$$. I will not write it, because I am one of the people who decides if we get it or not.

Hole 5 would be a good hole for the fence. Since there is nothing in the way. I don't know how long it would last, since that is the busiest part of the park.

Mark Olney said that someone would be there to run the backhoe for us, so moving the cement will not be a problem.

The proposal should say:

Why we need them, and where they are going.
What we would do to show that the KDGA helped pay for them.
How long the course has been in the ground.
Size of pads. 4X8 would be perfect.
Number of pads 9.
Estimated price ???.
We are be able to pay half.

We would have to put the KDGA cement stamp on all of them.

Who wants to write this sucker up?
