There are many things the club does for disc golf in general. Joining up helps to support us.
The two biggest benefits for members only are the discounts to disc purchases ($1 off) and the ace fund. Non-members are only eligible for up to $50. Members get half of the ace fund, which is currently over $600. The ace fund will be in effect for the membership drive tourney.
You can sign up for 2008 starting on the day of the membership drive. It is $10 and the discount lasts through the winter. If you sign up on October 28th, you get the free disc, free tourney, free BBQ.
We need a little help with running this event. We need to get some trophies and organize the BBQ. Also, I think we'll need a table to set up. If anyone can help, please p.m. me or Sandman. I'm sure we can make this a great event.

Don't forget about this Sunday. 12:30 at Oak. We'll meet around the old Girl Scout House near hole 9.
We're going to have some cool trophies and some good food.
$10 gets you into the one round tourney, gets you a free disc, gets you a free BBQ after the round, and gets you ACDGC membership through April of 2009.
1 round on short tees; the lowest score in any division will receive the 2007 ACDGC Champion trophy prize.

This event was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came.
Crispin made up 6 sweet, original 1st place trophies. Two were baskets made from mini-chains and beer cans. 4 were stencil dyed discs commemorating the event. Banger Bob also made a bunch of trophies that were perfect for our other prizes. Thanks Bob and Crispin!
Crispin's family bought the food, brought the grill, and cooked it up as we played. It hit the spot.
Luckily, the weather was absolutely perfect today. 34 players signed up for the ACDGC. 28 played in the event, but all got a free disc and meal.

We stuck around to enjoy the great weather for some doubles afterwards. Played short tees again. Here's how we finished...
Ricky Bobby & Lizard: -9-3=-12
Mike & Cali: -10
Peter & Shane: -7-3=-10
Bo & Crispin: -9
Plamen & Josh S.: -5-3=-8
Adam & Terry: -8
I thought that was some pretty hot shooting. Better than we played in singles!
