ACDGC League Schedule

I had to work until 5:45, so I had to haul butt to get there. Almost got T-Boned (very close!) when someone ran a red light at 63rd & Buckner when I had the green arrow. I got it started within 5 minutes after everyone was paid. I still often have people showing up to play at 6:15 though. And I can't control how fast people play. I usually do three-somes, but last night there were 8 in each division. I can sympathize, but have to say I'm glad I missed the rant. I had no desire to be there last night, but you didn't see me bail on coming down to get it going. I even printed out some maps, course OB sheets, brochures, scorecards, talked to local players. I spend twice the time at home on league stuff as I do at league. I try my best. I'll gladly accept any help.

Dont think she was really talking about you mike. More to the fact that everyone knows that we start at 6 and they need to be there BEFORE then to get signed up. Your doing the best you can with your schedule and your work for the club doesnt go unnoticed.

My apologies to Ron for snapping about playing quicker. I can see how this format could take longer. The idea with the "conservative" cali was that people would be using less of them. In our group Crispin used the fewest at 9/18 and I used the most at 15/18. So probably not a whole lot of time saved. Anyway....

While we haven't had darkness issues until tonight, while the daylight savings time pushed back until November, it's obvious we will start having trouble finishing. I used times comparable or earlier than last year on this schedule. It could be tough to update the schedule by 10 minutes and get it posted at all courses, and some people already have copies of the current schedule. Best solution is probably to do as many 3-somes as possible, espescially with the am groups. And tell people if they don't show up until tee time, they are late. Get things started sharp. I know I have to start showing up earlier too.

It always gets difficult this time of year. Everyone can help by showing up early and trying to play fast. Keep a light and some tape in the bag just in case...

Here is an updated schedule. Note some changes since last year. We'll be alternating Saturdays at Herman Hill and Sundays at Oak every other weekend. This will make it easier for me and Mike to make sure we can make it. If someone else wants to commit to running it every weekend this winter, we could go back to a twice per weekend format. Also note Mike Speer's phone number at the bottom. If you don't have a schedule handy and want to confirm league location or are running late, just give us a call.

Since we've changed up the schedule, it'd be a good idea for everyone to pickup a copy of the schedule. I'll have some available.

We'll be starting very early the next few weeks. Don't be late. Even starting early, we'll only have about 80 minutes before dark, so play fast if you don't want to play in the dark.

Last week of weekday league is upon us. Make sure you sign up by 5:15.

I had originally wanted to do a glow league for the final Thursday. But I have to leave town early Friday. Perhaps we can do something later in the winter season, but before it gets too nasty out.

Can someone recap how "Cali" play works at league? Also is Derby league very well attended?

"Cali" means everyone gets one extra shot per hole. The thing we do different is that we usually play it where if you use your extra shot, you have to play it. "Conservative Cali" if you will.

Derby has been well attended, but you never know how many will show up now that we are on weekends. Could be more, could be less, depends on how the weather is.
