I picked up the flags tonight and moved the baskets to short for the odd numbered holes. Bug bit, sweating, and doing karate to get the locks to shut, I managed to put together a decent round playing the long pins one last time.
7 under after 10 holes, I took a stupid bogey on 11 and then threw in the parking lot on hole 12. 4 more birdies and I finish 9 under par 54. Wish I couldn't done that in the tourney. Am I the only one who plays bad before a tourney, worse during, and great afterwards? A mental note for this round was that putts tend to fly straighter when it isn't windy.
The new course has some really short holes and really long ones. Especially when playing the blue tees. Ace runs have serious potential on holes 1, 3, 9, and 17. Hole 7 is the old short pin with new tees. When we get the new basket, we'll have to redo all the sleeves due to a smaller basket diameter. We might only put 2 back in on hole 7. After playing this one, we'll see if the anthill is really better. We'll let the grass grow back over there for now.
