Mike ran it
Derby 22 hole course

14 Players
hot & muggy w/ light winds
Pro/Am Doubles

Crispin & Scott Miller: -11
Ben Maass & Don Z-Man: -8

Yes, despite the rainforest climate, the course was quite enjoyable to play when it is mowed. I hope they can clear a bunch of stuff out this winter. I think the next thing to try for out there is mulch on some of those muddy tees. That would also help identify them so people can't just move the flags around. The nice new signs help with that though. Really liking those bridges too!

If we get there in time, we could move these buckets before league instead of after.

Oak Park
Short Tees

16 Players
Mild temps and near calm conditions

Well, we have something worth mentioning for this league.

Ben Maass hit an ace on hole 13 worth $168! Not even 400+ feet!

Brandon Nelson teamed up with Crispin and set a course record at Oak with -14. After adding 3 strokes for having a pro-pro team, they tied with Ben Wiggins and Peter Mohr at -11. Ben Maass & Adam Skladzien were 3rd at -8.

Mike ran it.
Herman Hill Park
Short Tees
Short Pins

16 Players
Light Breeze

We played Pro-Am switch doubles. Partners completed the hole from their partner's drive and took the better of the 2 scores.

Mike & Mike Speer: -10
Josh Hull & Bowe Wingerd: -8
Jack & Lloyed: -7 (I have your $5 Jack)

My partner was on fire, flicking them under the bucket on near every hole. To think I missed 4 short putts (that counted). I bet everyone has a similar story. Fun format that requires both halfs of the team to play well.

Since we are playing 22 holes tonight we need to get started promptly at 6.

Do not be late tonight, and bring a flashlight or lights just in case.

Handicaps would need to be adjusted for 22 holes. I was thinking that some ams might get frustrated with the water playing singles. You can get some pretty rough lies on holes 10 through 12. The course should get a little bit easier this fall for some of those overgrown holes. We can give it a whirl if there is interest. Derby did a great job with the mowing last time we had league there. Made a world of difference. Can't wait to see some new holes, hopefully this winter. They are going to have to mulch some of those muddy tees back there though.
