You put it up and I'm tearing it down. The City workers are the one who trimmed that for the most part, and I'm pretty sure someone also tore a few limbs that were left by the city workers, oh well. You go throw 100 shots and you still won't hit it, leave it be.

That window cheapens the hole. Control shots define the game of disc golf. Might as well have a wide open hole with the philosophy that you need a window for every occasion. Tear anything out and you'll go to jail, sucka! City ordinance 1425.905.1 Plus you'll get stroked.

Oak Park is a lefty's worst nightmare. Even on the few holes that favor the lefty shot, there are righty options. The right hander is so intent on throwing hyzer routes, that several areas on the course are getting thinned out. Hole 1's been cut down below for hyzer entry. Hole 2's ceiling has been raised for the hyzer gap. Hole 3 is bad for lefty (also some cutting here). Hole 4, 5, 6, 7 all hugely favor righty. Hole 8's tree near the short tee that blocked the hyzer has died from people breaking it. Hole 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 (long) all favor righty. Hole 18 short was a cool hole until "the gap" appeared. Do you still not understand the lack of balance for the course and why control drives only make a hole better?

I think most holes can go either way. Some lefty's can throw an anhyzer! I had fun playing that course, as I did last year.

Mikey, this whole course designer thing has gone to your head. By the way
your remark on the Doo Dah thread, all I'm saying is maybe you guy's ought to show appreciation to the one's who take time out of there lives, either it be disc golf , family, or whatever. Heck there was people who used there vehicles, thats wear and tear and gas coming out of there pockets. I know one person who was getting sick of coming to the course
because he coudn't play for 3 days cause you were there demanding a truck to use. He did help though. So what would have been so hard to take out $30-$40 out of the Club money and helped out a few entry fees
like $5 for people who just labored and maybe $10 for people who used there vehicles.

I remember when we put the new baskets in at HH and moved the old ones to Oak, you guy's threw a BBQ with hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks. with the club money, OUR money.

I'm just sick of putting my time in at the courses, and everytime something goes wrong at the courses, mainly Oak, The ACDGC is to blame.

Just about everything you just said was BS. I'm not even going to go through the trouble of identifying it specifically as such.

You have a bad attitude that is couterproductive towards growing disc golf. We won't be losing anything if you step out of the picture. You don't help out, you just complain.

We've said time and again, that if you have suggestions or input on anything, come to club meetings or just talk to some of the people who help make the necessary decisions for the club.

There are a lot of people who play Wichita courses that show absolutely no appreciation for the work that has been done to provide these excellent courses. Again, should you be asking "what do I get?" or "what can I give?". You just don't get it.

You guys are missing the"BIG"picture. You have been brainwashed into thinking we must have the most challenging discgolf on the planet. The reality is that we have the most discgolfers who have retired with back injuries.
When you have to choose between your woman and discgolf, don`t be stupid-choose the discgolf.

Perhaps my post was also a bit "couter-productive". I should have just address the request rather than attacking personal character.

My point was that asking for reimbursement for volunteer work is like asking someone to pay you for washing your own dirty dishes. I sacrificed maybe $100 is overtime to work on the courses while being sick at the same time. The board does over 90% of the work for the club. Do you see any benefits for serving as a board member? There are none as all the work we do is volunteer work.

We could use some help though. People were'nt coming to ask what could be done for the tournament. I was desperately seeking help and getting shot down. Other clubs don't have a problem with getting support from members. Why do we want to ruin the reputation of our own disc golf club?

I would be willing to bet, Steve is one of the regulars at your league. Even though he has a family work and obligations the same as the next guy. I think what he is trying to say is, "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours" After all, all that money that you "volunteers" spend, is probally 80% wichita money. Granted getting paid for volunteer work is pretty low, but I don't think he's doing that. You can only whip the horse for so long before he starts to kick back.

I totally understand, treat the ones who help, equal to the ones that don't give a crap. The work was not just for the Tourny but also for the @$$#0!3$ who play the course everyday, throwing trash, beer cans, and tearing up the course any way they can. So now that I know where I stand
w/ the ACDGC Secretary, good luck getting good help on the course on your slave drive days.
