Just wanted to see what the locals had to say about disc golf in Wichita. I am moving from San Antonio, TX this weekend. Just wondering what the disc golf scene is like and where I should go first to get into the swing of things for the leagues and local tourneys.

Here's our league schedule through the end of the year. Come on out. Not sure about the 18th though, everyone who can should go help with the Colwich work day.
Herman Hill and Oak Park are great courses in town. Newton is really good too. Derby now has concrete tees.
As far as tournaments go, we'll have our annual Ice Bowl again at Oaklawn on January 30th.

cool deal... i will try to make some of those. If you notice someone looking really cold and out of place more than likely it will be me. I will be in town starting the 15th so I should definitely make one of them before the end of the year.

Winfield has league every wednesday night. they set up lots of temp courses around so keep your eye on the forum for location, all in winfield. Wellington plays every Friday night @ 6:15 at Woods park. both are a short drive south from Wichita.

It isn't the "Kings of the Canyon" that is reserved for later this winter. It is the Rich Ranch.
The tourney is outside of Winfield on Private land, it is a one of kind course for Kansas. $25 2 mulligans/round, and lunch.

check out the Hard Core Tour. there are some dates coming up right after Xmas. also it is almost Icebowl time!!! we have quite a few food drive and icebowl events around the area. hope to see you out and about!
