Here's where Wichita's next course could go, located off 47th south and the river. Herman Hill is at the bottom of the picture for reference.

nah, I used google's chopper. Only works Internet Explorer 10, or Netscape 7.2 +.

IQ ain't gonna do shiaat, all talk and no show. It is a nice area though, used to hang out in them trails in my younger days, watching friends and
other people riding dirt bikes. You could cram 2 sweet courses maybe
even three in those woods.....future ICE BOWL course. J.K. kiddin IQ I
just wanted to lite a fire under your ass to get you motivated on this proj.
On a serious note find out who we need to talk to, and let's get r done.

I walked the entire area last night. On the east side, there is a very large open area with largish scragly trees here and there. You could certainly put many long tough holes in. Problem is that it all looks the same. There is no elevation. The view consists of the backs of the Oaklawn houses to the east.
Further west there is a line of trees followed by a north and south walking trail. Thick brush on both sides with nothing in the middle.
Further west yet you get into some thicker trees and then the river. Trees are between Ice Bowl thick and Cottonwood Park thick. Only no real trails. There is so much thorny growth everywhere, the place would be a nightmare to play in the summer even if you cleared much of it out. There is a lot of trash in the woods from where homeless people have been living. It would never get maintained back there.
Did you have a specific idea for the course here Iq or just seeing some unused land?
Where else did you say would make a good course? Behind the Drive in on Hydraulic and MacCarthur? or further north on hydraulic on the other side of the interstate? What about Boeing Hills. It's been forever since I seen that area.
