We are having a workday at Thomas Park (primarily on finishing course design) on May 10th, starting at 9:00. Anyone that can come would be appreciated. Could someone make this topic a sticky please.

You are now a "sticky".

Make sure you take your time. Right turns, left turns, straight, "blair witch", long, short, make them all happen.

You guys have a killer chunk of land and once you take trees out you cannot put them back.

-Design the BEST holes first and then connect them.

My vote for the stupid ditch. Play along the ditch running from South to North. Make it a long anhyzer. If you don't flip it, you are in the ditch, if you flip it to much you are in the crap.

Good luck, and give us something to bitch about. :o

Take notes from Emporia and KC. Use the terrain to your advantage.

The work day went great. We had about 10 people show up.

Now we need to set some dates on when we are going to trim the trees.

Thanks to everyone that showed up for the work evening. I wish that we would have taken a before and after picture of what we accomplished tonight! There is a ton more work to do, but we did make some good progress tonight. The next workday will be Thursday the 29th at 5:30

Last week we had 4 people. We cleared all of the dead branches on hole 2. I felt like we got a lot done for the limited amount of manpower we had.

This week is Wednesday ( 6-4-08 ) at 5:30.

We made some more good progress last week (and I didn't get poison ivy this time) and the brush piles are really starting to mount up. This week's workday will be on Thursday 6/12/08 at 5:30.

Great work night! We had 8 people show up and work like machines on the back heavily wooded holes. I gotta give big props to two younger guys that haven't even played league coming out and working hard! Counting tonight we've already put over 100 man hrs in out at Thomas and we're just getting warmed up.

Should we do a weekday as well?
