You guys have a lot of great holes at Jones park. Holes that you have to do more then bomb a wide open hyzer then make a putt. You have to throw 2 good shots to get the 3.
Hole #2 East side, best hole in Kansas!!
Hole #11 long East side is a great hole.
Hole #17 long on West side rocks.
Hole #18 long on the West side is kick arse.
Hole #6 on the East side is excellent.
Hole #14 East side is a great 3 in both locations.
Hole #15 East side is cool.
These 4 holes are the direction that disc golf needs to go. Placement of 2 good drives in order to have a good putt!
You also have some sick 1 drive holes.
Hole #4 long East side.
Hole #12 on the East side on the short is cool.
Hole #9 long on the West side.
If you know of any Elementary PE jobs that open up, let me know.

How could it be to hard? The hole was only 450 foot long.
Throw a drive up and to the left, then throw a safe little turnover upshot and drop in for a 3.
That hole is great!!!!

That's exactly how I played it to get my 3.
The difference in thinking is basically the difference between an Am and a Pro player.

The tight OB line and landing zone would intimidate most players below an advanced level. In addition, at 450' (which is a long hole for most players), the majority of disc golfers are throwing a 150' to 200' approach shot into a real tight landing zone. Basically, with all this in mind, it means that it would intimidate the majority of disc golfers.
Sometimes, the Pros tend to forget that they are in the minority in this and any other sport.

A hole like this is great for a tournament setting but not for regular play. IMO
Again, this is just an "old man" Am's opinion. But, on the other hand, I do hear the thoughts, complaints and comments of a lot of players.

I think that hole is actually a great hole for all divisions except maybe Intermediate. Please remember it is a par 4 hole. If a master or advanced player can only get up the fairway 250 feet then maybe it is time to lay up to the ob line or somewhere behind the alt pin. From there most any player (absent serious wind conditions) can put it under the basket. If you choose to go for it from 200 feet away then that is the "risk" you take to get a "reward" 3. It's all about risk vs. reward and the hole is definitely fair.
It is actually a pretty easy 3 for a pro. If you take out the wind factor 75 percent of the pros are going to three it.

Kev-
Did anyone on your card go for the narrow area?
If you lay up far left of the alt pin, you can throw a hyzer into the green.
The hole is bad ass!

No one went for the green. I think the head wind scared Danny off and he was in a close match with Russ at that point. Eric was playing safe with a damn 5 stroke lead at that point. I didn't figure I even had a shot at it. That would be one hell of an anyhyzer eagle if you got that sucker.

If you call the hole a par 4, I totally agree that it is fair.

I was thinking par 3.
It would be interesting to see the spread of scores on that hole in total and by division.

Of course, that would only be possible if you saved the cards and have someone with plenty of time to "do the math".

Just a thought, not an expectation.

I took a 3, and the other 2 guys had 4's.
Al went OB on his up shot, because he was to close to the trees.

My card was two 4's and one 3.

I took a 3 and the other two guy's had 4's.
No OB's in the group. One had a little "schule" problem with his second shot.
