So this $35 for 5-7 team members is in addition to a normal singles tournament?
It sounds like a good idea. Too much organization might be needed to set up something like a team match play, but that would be fun.
My suggestion would be to use Fagan's idea of points for 1st, 2nd, Whatever in each division as opposed to stroke play.
Example of why team stroke play (scores added together) would be unfair: say Wichita get's Kyle for junior / women division. Wichita loses by 2 strokes by each slot in open and each slot in am, but Kyle beats the next best by 12. That means Wichita would win by 4 even though 4 out of 5 matches were losses.

Match play would be new and fun.
Why is that everyone wants the samething everytime?
(stick that in your pipe and smoke it)
I'm trying to find your point here, Leo. I said match play would be fun, and yes, that's something different. How about addressing my point instead of running in some pointless direction?
About match play, thing is that you would have to know exactly how many teams there would be showing, have a set number of players per team, and every team would probably have to play every other team, which would be difficulty to do in one day. Add up all the wins for each player on the team throughout all the matches and you have a winner.
I know you guys managed in Great Bend. If it's something you wanted to do again in a team format, then speak up.
