Jones Park averages about 2.3 DNF's per league week. Never weather related. Mark is not a C-Monster though.

Well, I showed up for Tuesday League but no one was there :( I'll post my own scores:

First Ever Tuesday League at Pettibone Park (La Crosse, WI)

Open:
1. Hammer - 40

Lots to explain here....First of all, par for the course is a grueling 66. I believe I set the course record! I took three-3's on the round. Two were par and the other was a double bird. I also took a 4 on a hole. I played over sidewalks OB, I drove OB, and it was a par 5. I salvaged a bird with a missed putt and driving off the tee OB...(If you haven't guessed yet, it was an ace run on a par 5, skipped OB, missed a 40' putt for a circle double-bird, and dropped in circle-bird. NICE!
Ok, all joking aside. The course played within 300' of the Mississippi River for all 18 holes...AWESOME....The course had taller trees than Beloit and Hays combined....AWESOME....and there were trees guarding everything at all times. Short Concrete pads, tee signs, and a very nice set of double chain mach II baskets....Did I mention the MISSISSIPPI River in the background.....AWESOME....Let me sum it up for ya, If Eric was allowed to design a course there, it would be the baddest, best course in the world....

One of the par 5's was 382'...easy 2 on my drive....the par definition needs some help up here in WISCONSIN~~Overall golf experience=8.5

PS..I won $2.

PPS..I miss Kansas and Jones Park

Did ya take your boss out to the course? Getting him interested would be great. The par sounds like the course we played on the way back from Am nationals last year. I have never seen so many eagles in one round of disc golf in my life!

I think this course played 1 stroke easier than that course in Illinois...:) Yeah, I had my boss out there. He can throw straighter than anyone I've ever seen just throw for the first time. He even made my avenger fly straight. 170' max but pretty straight.

Shot 40 on a par 66 course, eh?

Let's say that your round was rated 1000 (I guess it was probably better than that?). Then the SSA would be 40. For the skill level to average 66 stokes per round, the skill level would be for 740 rated players. Red skill level is the lowest recognized by the PDGA at 850 rating. I'm for at least listing the true SSA on a course to give pro's an idea of what they should shoot. I think then that a skill level should be chosen that will have the course averaging at least 55 and preferably 60 or so, for that skill level.

Mike 8) here is some more information to throw into your equation.

1. I played this round in a pair of RedWing Full Lace Work Boots

2. I had a challenger, predator, avenger and surge in the bag. that's it.

3. The course was listed as par 66 or 64. Not sure but definately not right.

4. I shot a 40, for real, no awesome shots, lots of mistakes, probably didn't hit a put outside 15'.

5. My self figured round rating on the course in question was probably a 919.

6. If Eric and Barry Schultz went head to head for a MILLION dollars, i would guess the winning score would be 37 with no aces.

7. The course does not play anywhere near 55! Nate, Ben,and Tracy are the only people other than me that can understand this LOCAL Par perception.

8. If you got out more and played some of these Par 70 courses and shot 42 on them playing barely an average round, you would understand the large slice of Sarcastic Pie available for $1.09 at the local Pro Shoppe. This course is not even a real par 54...remember this comment...

Don't waste your time figuring a SSA on this course. Just imagine the potential of Jones East in a Beloit setting, then realize that it is Emporia Middle School OFF steroids... 8)

Would you like fries with that?

Tuesday League Scores:

The Park shot a +26. That would be 26 inches of water over the top of the ponds. FLOODED!

Emporia does not handle flooding well, I always hated when it rained, so many streets you could not drive down, and everything on the east side is muddy for a week.

We had steady rain last night I would say medium strength and we had 8 for skins league, it looked like E town was getting hammered most of the evening.

It was serious flooding this time. Water was actually running up the curb, through my yard and jumping into my house to get out of the weather. It was that bad...
