Sounds like FBDGC is bustin loose! Way to go Hayseans. I'm gonna try to make the Frontier Open. Last time I played it was like 16 years ago. They gave me discs just for being there. : )

Sounds like you come from the Ancient times of Frisbee Fun. Were you involved with the KDGA way back when? Got any cool old discs? :D

I've got some beat up old crap plastic, as I call it. Nothing worth a darn. Beat up banshees, firebirds, whippets, xclones, leopards, teebirds, polecat putter, phoenix (aka the freakin' dinner plate) ... no first run or CE stuff though.

I grew up in hays and remember playing frontier when there were just metal poles for targets with a piece of orange tape or paint or something. Looking back, they must've been waiting for baskets(?)... But no, I wasn't at all a serious golfer then. The shoe store downtown sold disc golf discs. The neighborhood kids and I would ride bikes down town, go swimming, go golfing, go swimming again & then back home ... that would be a summer day.

I remember when big creek went dry as a bone one summer and faded old discs were sticking out of the nasty sand. It was like heaven. I hate to admit it, but we actually used to go in that water after our discs. Kids are crazy. I look at it now and say: "you can keep it!"

Then came girls, rock n roll, beer and the such and I quit playing for about 10 years. I'm a 1st year PDGA/KDGA member this year, but have played somewhat seriously for 2 years prior to this.

That Hays course downright rocks! It kicks my rear every time. I need to play it more.

I've been amazed by the support local golfers have given to this club. It gives us so much more credibility with in the community. Hope we can keep the momentum rolling.

After maybe?

I'll be there if that's the case.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

We need to have a meeting sometime to discuss ideas. When is a good time? before or after league?
