ESP Avenger SS

Post by McCabe »

This disc is a long turnover/roller disc. They were in our player packs at the Players Cup...I think it will replace my FR Cruch roller.....or so I hope, seeing how I lost my FR Crush.. :(

Super soft Avenger, eh?

For real though, how could an avenger be a roller? Aren't they pretty overstable?

SS for Super soft or
SS for Slip Stream?

I had a chance to throw this disc more today, and it IS a roller..right out of the box. It also bombs with a tail wind...

Straight flyer at low speeds?

After giving the Avenger SS the full test drive(s) over the last few months,

I am soooo loving this disc!

Filled a spot in the bag I've been trying to fill for a while, and more. I've tried the Tracker, XL, XS, Wildcat, Cyclone, Cyclone 2, beat Avengers, and the Xpress.(Cryztal, my fave until the SS)

Absolutely bombs as a roller, turnover, big anny's that need to just keep coasting, hyzerflip "S" curves, and is the straightest high-speed driver I've thrown.(when thrown to stand up, or lower power.)<- This is the shot it went in the bag for, just ends up taking the other roles as I feel it's needed.

The rim is not super-wide, so it gives a good feeling of control in my hand, but still faster then all the above mentioned discs and just glides forever.

Superb! 8)

Does anybody else find that the blue ones are flippier than the orange are? My orange pimp avenger is way more overstable than Chris's DD blue one that he had a league last night and both of them were brand new.

I wouldn't be too surprised. The light blue run of pulses we had from the frontier open were flippy as hell, but any other pulse I've thrown has been a pig..

I tried the Orange PIMP SS out. You are correct it is far more stable then the blues I have thrown. I could turn it and it would hold a good anhyzer line. It isn't nearly flippy enough to be a good roller. I do think it makes a good flyer.

I traded it to Barfer Bob for a Yellow PIMP SS. It seemed to be money the only time I threw it. FLIPPY as can be, caught an edge and rolled like a MoFo!

I think my orange ss will be a good anny disc for me, but I need to beat it in a little more. I was surprised how overstable it was compared to the first one that I bought last Saturday morning.....but that one didn't stay dry for too long
