They are new tree locations! Make sure nobody messes with them.

Bill had a very positive meeting with the landscape supervisor that will result in us getting some help with planting some trees to hopefully eliminate mando's, make the course look better, and make the course more safe

I hope he marked all those cheesy heiser shots on the back 9.The sidewalk being out of bounds doesn`t make the course any safer,it just allows hopper easy heiser skip aces.

It looks like we are going to need some help with hauling woodchips again this year. Need a truck, a big scoop shovel, and some man power. I'll post when I know more.

I'm going to be around this weekend, so I'm setting some times for us to get together to get the courses in the best shape for the tourney. Last year's efforts really helped our courses year round.

Oak Park. We'll meet up at around 5:30 to 6:00 pm and get those woodchips around needed teepads, pins, and walking paths.

We need a truck! Flat shovels and rakes are also good to bring. Sturdy snow shovels work really good for scooping the chips off the street, which is where they are at.

Roger has some other work painting pads, drop zones and such. I'm sure he'll let us know if he needs help and when.

Herman Hill. Plans are also to do some work on Monday around noon. I'll repost if this changes. We're going to move a basket on hole 6, maybe plant a new on hole 7, put some flags in to mark OB along the river, and haul woodchips to a just a few spots. We need the same for this, truck, shovels, rakes. With a few people, this really shouldn't be that much of a job.

Hope to see you there. My home phone is 316-612-7896 if anyone needs to contact me.

Did some work at Oak yesterday. Dave Wiley showed up and worked all day by himself. Give this man a handshake when you see him. He'll be the guy with the mohawk.

Then I worked a few hours by myself. I don't know if I got dehydrated or what, but I ended up getting really sick later last night. I'm probably out for the weekend.

If anyone wants to help, feel free to go out to the courses and spread the woodchips around. If you want to work on Sunday, but don't have a truck, pm me and I'll give you Marcus A's number. He told me that he could help out with a truck.

Plan is to work on Monday. Starting at noon at Herman Hill. When every we get done, we'll go to finish up Oak Park. Pm me or give me a call if you think you can help. The more people, the easier and quicker it will be.

The courses are looking great. As good as I've ever seen them. We're getting some flooding though. Hardly any rain here, but a bunch in Hutch, I guess. Hole 11 is underwater at Oak. It looks like it'll dry up after this weekend.

Here's what areas still need chipped at Oak Park. We still have about a third or more of our pile and that's about how much is left. Let's use it all.

Small amount...
Hole 10, 11, & 12's short tees. The back of 18's short tee.

Moderate amount...
Hole 1's long tee

Large amount...
Hole 1's green, Hole 11, 12, & 13's long tees. 6's short tee can only be accessed with a wheel barrow.

Very large amount...
Hole 11's fairway. I suggest just getting the area around the green and paths to the tee and away from the green. There is going to be standing water on this hole because of the depression that is lower than the river bank.

Hole 5's green and the practice basket green. Probably a truckload each. Since these are so close to the pile, we can save these for last.

At Herman Hill, there is a pile of chips over by hole 9's green. I assume it is still there. Most of the tees and greens out there have grass growing everywhere. There are a few that could use some chips though. Just that I can think of...

Hole 1's long and short tee.
Around 4's long tee. 4's short pin.
5's short tee.
6's short tee.
7's short and long pins. Maybe tees too.
11's long pin.
15's short tee.
16's short tee.
17's short tee.
18's short tee.

The courses are pretty much trash free, except for some beer cans. Let's pick these up at league or in our casual rounds.

Let's meet tomorrow at Herman Hill at noon. Here's what to bring if you have it....

Truck for hauling woodchips, flat nose shovel, rake, push broom, wheelbarrow.

We'll plant a couple of pins, haul and spread some woodchips at HH, then head to Oak where we'll spread some chips.

Should have plenty of time left over for some golf!

Thanks for the hard work, guys!

Big thanks to Ron Convers, Marcus Anderson, Dave Wiley, Chad, Travis, Lloyd, Don, Otis, & Buddy.

We got our sleeves poured and our chips slung.

We dodged the rain the last couple of days, but keep hoping for NO MORE RAIN. The river is already receding, but has a ways to go to get back where it belongs.

Work left to do... Thursday at Oak, I plan on flagging the tees (red and blue). Assuming it is safe to do so, we should drive some woodchips down to long tees on 11, 12, and 13, short 12's tee, and 11's green.

Flagging tees and the river at Herman Hill. Woodchips on 17's green would be good. Also there will be a ton of trash coming in from the river as it recedes. I plan to help out with this on Friday.

Thanks again fellas!

Courses are looking much better after our work days.

I have plenty of jobs lined out for Thursday at Oak and Friday at Herman Hill.

The main way people could help out is on Thursday at league at Oak... Take a trash bag with your group. I will have some for you. Play is already going to be a little slow. I'll be raking/brooming the pads, Roger will be painting numbers on the pads, Bill will be putting flags in.

Afterwards (or before, if you let Bill know that you are available), we'll need some help chipping up those areas in need on holes 11 through 13, which were underwater.

See you there!
